  2. I've done two Comic AARs, and always dreaded the idea of work involved in doing a classic one. Until I discovered just how much work the CAARs were. Combined with all the AARs I've read here already trying to improve my tactical knowledge and skills, made me really want to give this standard format AAR a try. The battle is a 45 minute duration attack by me on a German opponent in PBEM. My partner doesn't participate in the BF forums so this AAR will not be mirrored from the German perspective.     Irratic Framerate Issue

    Basically, glTexImage2D function loads images into GPU memory and glDeleteTextures deletes them from GPU memory. From a trace capture, I saw that images for the scene were loaded into memory when entering battle and they get deleted when exiting battle to main menu. While flying around the map and looking at things near and far, no glDeleteTextures calls are made. If you don't want to take a trace, you can verify this by watching the GPU memory consumption through the stages of being in the main menu, loading a save and quitting to main menu.   8. Gentlemen as you asked before – I did an alternative BMP-2 skin for Ukrainian side. This mod includes BMP-2/BMP-2k what are painted in UKROBORONPROM camo and covered with dirt. Moreover, in some areas you will find smoke and dust marks close to exhaust and radiators. You will also find some leaves on the hull because this BMP’s were used in tree lines for ambushes and you will find some solid amount of dirt related to steppe (all kinds of dust, dirt, mud and so on).   9. Finished the first mission again - this time with predictably muuuuch better results. Start of hidden spoiler text: As I said before this time I used only 2 tanks and 1 platoon of soldiers on their halftrucks with one additional scout team from another platoon, the dedicated sniper and forward observer team. Due to much slower pace and less units to accomplish tasks with I almost ran out of time. Managed to finish everything when I only had 4 minutes left. Knowing where the enemy was was of big help of course. One funny occasion was when I proceeded to the first occupy object

  11. Here's the rest of the Appendix for the forum rats: Part three is the second version, with cuts proposed by @MOS:96B2P. I went on a bit of a rant, and he pointed out it really didn't do anything aside from stretch the runtime unnecessarily. All 4 parts combined is the full 1 hour 20 minutes (minus edits) ramble about "How to move down a street". What if you don't have any demo charges?
