sburke
Yes and they might be told by a Hamster they carry with them that it is better to dance out in the open ground.. What rank does the hamster hold? Is the hamster fresh off the boat? If so let it dance in the open first and make sure it's rank is readily apparent so the sniper goes for it first. If it is a grunt hamster send it through the door first. Either way- the hamster should be used to flush out the enemy.
poesel
Let the path to be analysed by the "pathfinding" algorithm just after it was laid, and show to the player the modified version. It would only take a second - in real time game the path is modified "on the fly" with no delay, so the alghoritm is efficient enough. Then a player could see the resulted path and notice that it was modified by the game because there is no passage somewhere. And choose another one, if the one plotted by computer causes any dangers. All of this in orders phase. +1 from here, too. That would really, really help.
Hpt. Lisse
Having watched 2 separate sub-squads (v2.0) pass up rear doors on some barns, only to get fired upon as they round the fronts, I BUMP this idea...
MikeyD
Depending on what map you're using or what scenario you're playing some building issues may be 'baked in'. Problems that had been spotted and resolved early on but sometimes there's a building sitting on an early-made map that didn't get replaced and is stubbornly holding onto the original 'bug'. There's one building in one scenario in particular that I can think of thats particularly vexing, it simply refused to take the 'fix'. And its impossible to spot unless you go through the task of running infantry into each building in turn to double-check their behavior, then note the building location, then delete it and replace it in the editor.
