benpark
I didn't see any specific references to US cavalry recon units (such as the 113th) in the OOB, but I see that all the equipment needed is there. It may be covered in the "light armored" unit listed? Is a unit like the below possible given the choices in CM:BN?: http://www.redhorse.nl/Organization_Cavalry_Rcn_Troop.htm
Battlefront.com
There were no Cav Divisions even in real life, so no need to put that into the game We have Cavalry Squadron (Armored), Cavalry Squadron (Mechanized), and Cavalry Troop (Infantry) in the game. They are all built around a common Recon Platoon, but higher levels have differences. Steve
benpark
Oops! "Group" would be a better (ie. correct) term, and I should have used it. Glad to hear it.
Battlefront.com
"Groups" are a level higher up than we cover, just like we don't cover Regiments. Squadron/Battalion is the highest level we directly simulate. However, we do have significant Divisional and Regimental formations in the game if appropriate. gibsonm
Yes it would interesting to ponder what level of command a Cav unit of Army Group size would be conducting a recce for.

Roosevelt? Seriously though, Reconnaissance (or Cavalry) Groups were regimental-sized formations, usually operating under the control of armies but sometimes corps.
