MikeyD
On the topic of less-or-no windows. Snowball did the bulk of the scenarios (of course) and were particularly sneaky in some of their window placements. Turned the game maps into quite a maze to work through! I notice among BFC scenario designers the window count is trending lower too. Not by any mutual agreement, simply because the real world often doesn't have a row of six windows on every floor on every side on every building. So with practice at building realistic looking maps comes fewer windows to shoot out of.
Erwin
In the RW, wouldn't you make a hole in the side of a building or wall to shoot thru? Just wondering. Everything is abstracted to some degree.
Wengart
It would depend on the material the building (or more specifically the wall) is made of and the type of implement you're using to make the whole. (entrenching tool, explosive, or other field expedient method) Anyway, most buildings in Afghanistan are made of adobe brick, I believe, and are quite thick making digging difficult at best.
vincere
Not forgetting that digging holes in wall ok for prepared defence but many batlles and houses within them won't fit this.
