Gforceuk
Having upgraded from pc to mac .. ( takes cover ).. Are there any patches available to get any combat mission games to work on the latest mac's. Or do I have to wait for the next incarnation I used to play combat mission constantly until I picked up a ps3 .. now its time to go back to it but cant find one that claims to be compatible on the snow leopard. any help appreciated. Apart from putting boot things on with other versions of mac .. not for me , i left the pc as i was sick or dual booting and patch problems ect ect .
Schrullenhaft
There are no new patches for the CMx1 series (CMBO, CMBB & CMAK) for OS X. The games require that you either install OS 9.2.2 (and not just a 'Classic' version, I believe) or use BootCamp and load up Windows XP/Vista/7 on another partition. The OS 9.2.2 route may work with PowerPC Macs. The BootCamp route is necessary for Intel-based Macs and it requires that you purchase the PC versions of CMBB & CMAK. There are no plans that I'm aware of to get the CMx1 series working with OS X in any native manner.

But since Gforceuk apparently has an Intel Mac and the discs for a PC, the Bootcamp route should work for him. Michael
Redwolf
CMx1 also works in Cedega's version of Wine. I don't know whether they have a Mac version but it is certain technically possible.

I have a G4 Titanium PowerBook and a G4 “mirror door” PowerMac desktop machine both of which happily dual boot into OS X or Mac OS 9.2.2. I also have my current MacBook Pro that I use via Boot Camp to access the CMX1 family.

I ought to have substituted a '4' for the '3' in my post. Apologies all around. My essential point that is has been a while since a new Mac would boot up in 9.2.2 I will stand by. gibsonm
Absolutely no question on that. However I suspect my initial reply’s first line wont make it into your signature.
