AK-74 and pistol animation, maybe should correct?

In CMSF game there is no pistols 3D model and animations, at most time only Syrian forces had pistols in arms, blue forces don't, I'm don't know right it or not, but it's so.

And maybe because only red forces has a pistols, maybe because it not so useful weapon we don't see special 3d model and animation for it. But to replays PM pistols in syrian forces was taken a main AK-74 3d model, and in game we don't see AK-74 that is main assault rifle in most army's in real live. To replace AK-74 like a main assault rifle, in game was used a AKS-74, that used by crews or special units (airborne inf, or others), in real live, and as result we see that this little problem with pistol's did some more little mistakes.

And some more little moments:

-In game we have AKS-74 as best AK rifle, but it's not so, in real life AKS-74 it's not very widespread weapon, at this place at top mast placed a AK-74M (it better then AKS-74).

- there is a AKMS assault rifle in game, but it's absolutely not widespread, I was see it at once in hands of T-72 (Early) crew, but may be it should have more distribution?

- AKS-74U - this weapon in game had black plastic furniture, but the soviet and russian industry don't product AKS-74U with black furniture, only at wood.

Of course it's not big problem play so, but it's maybe it's time to correct this lacks?

Well, they haven't fix it up until now so if the 'AK in place of pistol' isn't corrected with animations made for CM:N then it's a safe bet it'll never happen. We'll see in the coming months.

As for your comments on other small arms goofs, could it be that Syria has done things different? What Russia does might not be 100% relevant here.

As I know Syria don't do small arms by it self. And also it all looks like Russian, not chines or Yugoslavian.

Also I forgot about SVD for airborne inf. usual use SVD-S with combine butt.

Even in CM:Afghanistan the Russian units are still only carrying the AKS-74 model no matter what weapon they're icons show they are equipped with.

If they decide to create a Vietnam conflict module the Americans will Carry M-4's because hey, it's basically a M-16, just a little shorter and nobody will notice right?

Heh, I've been asking for this fix since 2007...Thankfully though, I noticed Snowball did fix the running with the ATGM floating in the air, which was another of my pet peeves!
