The "Alliance of Evil" thread.

Recommended Posts

Could be a bit early to post some observations on this campaign, but I'm starting to see some writing on the wall. Its recognizable.....seen it a long time ago......but it might be a bit premature.

Remember SC1 early days and how the Germans were able to build an unstoppable momentum of MPPs and experience through rapid conquest?

There's this little demon in my right ear and he keeps wispering, "the EVIL is coming"....the EVIL is coming........and they just keep going!

Now ...granted....the EVIL only exists on land currently...but with hindsight to SC1 and forsight.....hmmmm, I'm wondering.

And looking at the map......and what a lovely thing it is.:)...I get the feeling I'm playing "RISK";).

That's my impression also EE. Reds have taken Manchuria, Turkey, MidEast, Finland and are getting ready to hit India. The one quagmire is China. USA, Japan and the Chinese have erected a pretty stubborn defense and with the difficult terrain and weather, its pretty slow going.

But, since its not even 42, and all the USSR planes and tanks(researched to level 3) are in the build Q, I'm under the impression it won't be long before China succumbs to the Red boot. Probably going to have to take out Tibet also for that shortcut into northern China.;)

Kind of weird that the Germans give the Soviets a 25 MPP subsidy as they are still behind in per turn MPP allotment, but after Sealion they should be caught up.

I am at 1944 and most of my Tech just reached 3 ^^

China had already fallen After the Invasion of Korea had become a massacre i Turned to the south-West. I Attacked China from the West (1 motorized Corps moved for the mines, which later increased to 4 Armies and 3 Corps). Most of my Mass stopped before Chungking. Allied Bombers, Fighters and TAC in northern Burma stopped my russians from invading Rangoon and East-India. But Indochina, Malaya, Borneo and even Alaska are fully "liberated" by the russians. Well Quite a huge mass of American are traveling on the Alaska Hihway but my Corps and Army (Both Strengh 6) will stop them. NO STEP BACK :D

Tried to eliminate the IJN/USN with subs but my whole Far Eastern Navy got slaughtered. Subs, Cruiser, Battleships and Carrier are going to be ready for Dec. 44

Krauts on the Other side of the World:

Everything had gone as planed Poland and France were fairly easy. Sealion had taken 2 Years but ended in a huge success. The Balkas were quite Neutral till 1943 Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria didn´t sign the Military Pact thats why i invaded them all within two turns. After that Jugoslavia. The War in the Atlantic is going on well My GZeppelin and Battleships are doing target practice on US-Amphibships. U-Boots are operating around africa. after turkey joined the Axis i invaded Iraq, Persia and Syria fairly easy.

Egypt and Sudan were quite hard. Now are many commonwealth Units are stuck in Libya. They got destroyed turn after turn until the italians regain it.

Now in ´44 Germans have taken Lahore and are making for Delhi (As mentioned the USAAF just attacks the communists)

By the way the Royal Navy excist no more just some IJN ships (I love the Katyushas) and the USN had become the only Naval threat.

Just my 55 Cents ;-)

Cheers

Dominik

Hey... kowalewski....don't I remember you from the "Combat" series... too bad about Sarge.:(

I'm just now starting to contemplate the EVIL's naval strategy, the Japs and the Yanks got to be a tough nut to crack, not to mention the RN. I didn't allow Vichy either so I've got the Frenchies marauding in the Med also as I've completely lost my toehold on Africa.........."I'll Be Back".

I did that western China tour also....the scenic route...takes awhile to get the guys in position. Have you noticed the Germans can't operate in Soviet territories? I've got a German Army Group headed through Turkey to India.....my version of "Operation Orient". Just now deployed the "Graf Zeppelin" and I'm building her some escorts and researching ASW....did you run into any of those Yankie subs?

Soon as the winter is over Spring 42 will see Sealion commence.

EVIL and out!:P

I have an observation as I have been playing the Allied side in the Alliance of Evil campaign. I haven't gone that deep (and to be honest, I've deliberately allowed the Russians free reign in Asia as a test while building up mainland Japan), but Russia seems to just build up on MPPs and units instead of attacking anywhere after defeating Manchuria. In fact, I keep getting the message about Korea being under a soviet seige when the Soviets already HAVE Korea! In addition, they just mass on the Chinese border without attacking it, even though China is at the diplomatic level of 100% Allied. I finally gave in and had China DOW against Russia just to get something to happen. If this is a script problem, then Russia needs some serious rescripting in the next patch! Any others finding this problem?

I've got a little problem trying to move my EVIL Red forces into Saudi Arabia. There's no country to DoW, is SA off limits, forbidden territory?????

I thought I could conquer the world?:(
