Schrullenhaft Posted January 28, 2010 Share Posted January 28, 2010 I think the intro video used the Indeo codec which changed from Intel to some other IP holder. Newer versions of Windows (newer than Windows 98) don't include the codec. You either have to pay for it or use something else that can potentially interpret it. You can avoid the playing of the intro movie by launching the game and VERY QUICKLY pressing the <Shift> key. This will skip the intro video and update your Prefs file (once you exit properly) so that the movie will not play when you launch it. However once you delete the Prefs file it will go back to playing the movie until you repeat this step again.
