PRoblem with interface text and in-game text (not readable)

Hello people,

I'm using an ATI 4890 graphic card, and I recently re-installed CMAK. The problem is I can't read the text inside the game, it looks like highlighted in colors but not transparent like, but solid, covering the text.

Any ideas to fix it?? :confused:

Try this. I can't remember who made it but I found it here and it worked for me. I'm just giving back to others what I found.

Remember to back up before you overwrite.

I have the ATI 4350. Replacing the BMP files seems to have fixed the video problem identified in this thread. Thanks.

I still have the minor issue with having to do the "ALT TAB" key press. At least that's only an irritant. I'll have to look more into that.

Until i replace my ATI junk i get this problem as well. The bmp files and using the alt /tab trick works, however when i save a game, i am guessing as to what i am typing. The save name bar is blackout incrementally for every letter / number that is on the line. Using the alt /tab trick doesn't work for this. I can see the saved name properly in the load save game list, just not during a game save... weird but workable. Anybody have a solution for that issue?
