MCB
Hey all, I've been away from the game for over a year or so, and then the Vista patch hit the shelves and I jumped back in. Problem is, is that I built a battle in the editor, and when I try to play it I cannot get a single-player option (only hot-seat, PBEM, or LAN). The prepackaged scenarios will allow single-play. Is there an option I am missing in the editor? I've searched over it a couple of times, and searched the forum - but I may not be using the right key-words. Stumped. Would appreciate a little assist. Many thanks. MCB
dieseltaylor
Its the way you have saved it. You have tournament locked it. I hope you have saved a copy normally for further tinkering. I have just overwritten the Tutorial off the CD as a Tournamnet Scenario and rendered it unplayable as the Germans are set for first turn : )
rune
Or did you use assault boats? if so, don't. The AI cannot handle them. Rune
dieseltaylor
In fact assault boats are such a complete pain in the ass for players, let alone designers, that everyone is better off if they are never used. Bridges also have some problems so try not to make them too crucial in a scenario. Certainly larger bridges have freaky firing lines which defy physics, and as for units toppling off bridges and then driving around road blocks ......... does make a mockery. Have fun
MCB
Rune, That's it! I used assault boats for the Allied side! Totally unaware of this issue. I had used boats in prior battles, but had always used them for the active player. Thanks for the education! You Da Man! MCB
