Maus MOD for TOW

Hi,

I decided to eat my own medicine so i'm going to try to convert the 3ds model in this case Maus panzer to TOW with the MshConverter i have been doing (also that i can really debug this thing). As i see the IL2 community doing a lot of the planes from scratch, so i thought that for TOW we should have the same. So i taken the InvisibaleO model of Maus and make it TOW friendly :). I have converted to any type of 3d format possible and made it triangle friendly and with lower poly. My plan is to replace the tracks with lowpoly objects, also the model is untextured so those are missing.

So if there are any voluntiers to help me finish this conversion I will be a happy man. If you know some capable texture artist or you are one, i would really appriciate the help you can give. Also if somebody can dig up dirt on the techical data or info on TOW ini files (those who have more experience than me, like Gnasher, Oudy,etc) on the maus and post it here would be very helpfull, i don't have much free time to move this forward, so this will take some time to finish.

I volunteer for making the sounds and/or ini files.

Excellent,

the maus has very different gun 128 mm KwK44 L/55, which is quite a big gun, its going to be almost impossible to get the original sounds, so the imitation sound would be neccessary.

Also the ini files can be premade before the 3d model, so if you have the will to make them, it would be very helpfull. But with your experience try to concentrate on the sounds.

The gun is the same as Jagdtiger's, it 's already in the game. It has also a secondary coaxial gun, 75mm kwk44 L/36.5, maybe we can use the 75mm L/34 datas already in the game.

I wrote a draft of the parts init with armor data. It's all I can do, I hope it will help!

Let me know if I can help you with this, as I really would like to be able to add new models to ToW.

I can texture the thing, do the UV, color map and normal map, even modelling if you want.

I can send you the files, but current state is rough, i just begun the modeling yesterday. First we would need to model it to some overall build, then do the mapping, so the mapper wouldnt do it twice or multiple times, but you could play with mapping, you would need to get a decent texture first. Normal mapping would be very good :o.

i have a question for you, can i have more than 9 central track wheels (left wheels from k1 to ... for left, and k01 to ... for right, because maus has a lot of track wheels. Can I specify for left central wheel k13 and for right k013?
