cabal23
This whole driver thing is bogus. First off why do other open Gl games work fine on vista? This sounds like a lot of speculating. I am dying until tomorrow to see what excuses people are coming up with. This will be interesting.
Kieme(ITA)
Ok I've set up those other "improved" Nvidia drivers. The latest ones. It seems to work well, I can play with filters on at 90% quality settings even in larger maps. The game still doesn't crash. Now I'm pretty satisfied (although I still need to re-assign CPUs every time I start a new game). Thank you again for your help! Regards, Kieme
rune
You are right cabal, it is bogus. That is why when Kieme changed drivers it fixed the problem. Sheesh... Rune

marine0311
haha im laughing at him saying dont compare this to other modern games.... Well YOU SURE AS HELL BASED THE PRICE OFF OF THEM!! I like the game but companies are starting to get crazy with releasing games like this. I had to shut down one of my processors to run it and that is unacceptable.
rune
Marine, Well, then please get Intel, Microsfot, AMD, Nvidia and ATI to get their act together. It isn't every dual core having the issue. It is combinations of things. I got this list from a gaming site that lists problems with games and multi-cores. Here is a partial list of games having problems with dual cores. Morrowind HalfLife2 (Source Engine games) BF2 FarCry HalfLife1 (CS/DoD) Need For Speed:MW Unreal Tournament (Original) Lineage 2 (in some cases) Serious Sam 2 Lineage 2 (in some cases) Warcraft 3 Call of Duty 1 HL2 Engine w/HDR enabled (Nvidia video cards) Aquamark3 3dMark2001 KOTOR/KOTOR II with Nvidia Beta 84.12 drivers Wec sites showing issues: http://www.tweakguides.com/NFSMW_8.html http://www.codhelp.com/?p=9 http://www.urbanterror.net/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.5 http://www.ufo-afterlight.com/pages/support.html http://nwn.bioware.com/support/known.html I can list hundreds of games that list the same thing. Rune There are 4 known patches from Microsoft for dual cores. AMD has 2 patches out for dual core.
