Moon
The Mission editor requires .NET 2.0 to be installed, including the latest two service pack. Here are links: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0C1B0A88-59E2-4EBA-A70E-4CD851C5FCC4&displaylang=en and http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=AEA55F2F-07B5-4A8C-8A44-B4E1B196D5C0&displaylang=en If you don't have the two updates, please make sure you grab and install them (if you have the Windows auto-updater on then they should have installed by themselves after installing .NET 2.0). easy-v
I get "Wrong Version" when trying to run the mission editor. I'am running on Vista Ultimate. I've installed both .net SP1 and Sp2 (according to the links, if you install the latter only, it ought to work-as they are each complete implementations of the .net framework.) Regardless, I installed both, and still get the Wrong Version error. I tried putting the editor in XPSP@ compatibility, and no love Help anyone? easy-v
I will try this: I did this for the mission editor Change Data Execution Prevention settings Applies to all editions of Windows Vista. Which edition of Windows Vista am I using? Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that helps prevent damage from viruses and other security threats by monitoring your programs to make sure they use system memory safely. If you choose to protect all programs, you can still turn off DEP for individual programs. If you suspect that a program does not run correctly when DEP is turned on, check for a DEP-compatible version of the program or an update from the software publisher before you change any DEP settings. 1. Open System by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking System. 2. Click Advanced System Settings. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. 3. Under Performance, click Settings. 4. Click the Data Execution Prevention tab, and then click Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select. Show all Show allHide all To turn off DEP for an individual program • Select the check box next to the program that you want to turn off DEP for, and then click OK. If the program is not in the list, click Add. Browse to the Program Files folder, find the executable file for the program (it will have an .exe file extension), and then click Open
