CTF question and wish

You are carrying the flag, your vehicle is shot up, so you go get another vehicle and move close by, then take over the bot, drop the flag, then take over the bot in the other (working) vehicle and take the flag. all clear?

The problem: sometimes the flag reverts to the enemy base for no apparent reason (no enemy nearby). Why???

I find the best way to get the bots to drop the flag when you need it is to get up close and shoot them yourself - not very realistic but it works in the game.

Personally I would like more of the maps on the server be set to obj rather than ctf. Right now it seems like we end up playing ctf more than any other type of battle.

hehe, I thought of teamkilling too, but i felt inhibited.

The flag jumps back to the base if the terrain is not suitable - like lava - for the flag.

I don't know exactly what else is 'not suitable' but its sure a bit too strict.

see last sunday, Dead Gulch CTF, at about 20min. The flag bounced onto the flag-dropping vehicle. I think it´s the bouncing that is the problem. One bounce too many and the flag reverts to the base position thankfully I didn´t curse into my micro...such a nice plan, it was working so well...boohoo (©Jung)

I just watched some of that replay - that was a pretty intense capture the flag game. The flag disappearing was pretty bogus though.
