poesel
jby mentioned that in another thread but I think that warrants an extra thread (not that we are swamped by messages, are we?) Since more and more people are using a headset this kind of communication becomes more and more important. One problem is that sometimes the voice is garbled. That is something we can test and maybe find out were the problem is. Different OSes? Bandwidth? Colliding messages? Just test next time when you are online. Other problem which is IMHO much more common is OTHER sounds playing at the same time as you hear a voice message. IMO while voice messages are played, other sounds should be totally muffled at least to 10% of normal loudness. Sound is important but voice is much more so. Third thing is a request to our dear english speaking natives: slower and clearer please - thank you.
Junglist
Why don't we just speak in German? Just kidding.
ClaytoniousRex
Yurch was the first to suggest lowering other sound volumes while receiving chat - I think way back in the beta days. I think that's already been done and not yet rolled in; will find out...
