Wehrmacht
This is my first AAR, so it may suck a bit Turns are axis turns because I am playing the axis. My opponent is Alexander [ April 26, 2004, 08:05 AM: Message edited by: Wehrmacht ]
Wehrmacht
Turn 1 Axis declare war on Denmark and cruisers bombard Copenhagen. Germany gets the Polish breaktrough. All quiet on western front.
Wehrmacht
Turn 2 Belgians and Dutchmen wake to the sound of aircrafts flying over their homes. Soon they hear the sound of German tanks as hundreds of thousands German troops attack the LC corps positioned in Brussels. After days of immense fighting the city is still hold by Belgians. Germany failed to take LC with army, tank, 3 air and a corps! Germans are doing better in the east, after hard fight the city of Warsaw is captured by Axis. But the brave Polish won't surrender.
Wehrmacht
Turn 3 Allies found one axis sub that was hiding west of Ireland. Allies destroy axis tank next to Brussels. Axis attack Brussels with everything they can, and the British corps in Brussels was left down to one point, again... Poland doesn't still surrender. This game is becoming a disaster for me so early on...
Arngrim
Tough start... it'll be interesting to see how this AAR unfolds.

Wehrmacht
Yeah I am having ¨some¨ bad luck, but I'm already used to it. I have always had and always will have bad luck. Curry knows this well Turn 5 Finally the governments of Low Countries agree to surrender. French army destroyed in hex next to Brussels. Danish corps heavily damaged (1 point left)
Wehrmacht
Turn 6 The Allies attacked German army with two armies, carrier(s), airfleet and bomber, but the German army survives. Germans attack the key Ardennes hex but cannot take it. Denmark surrenders.
JerseyJohn
"Yeah I am having ¨some¨ bad luck, but I'm already used to it." Wehrmacht As one who has done a few of these things I'd like to offer a little advice. As you're playing the AI, not a human, if things go wrong shut the damn thing off, save yourself a lot of aggravation, look upon it as a sort of novel, add a bunch of photos, some maps, and turn it into a literary masterpiece. Unfortunately I did that and now some people think I'm an electron Napoleon, but it's all a lie really -- so please Kurt, pick on somebody else! Just joking, of course, polishing my old medals, sorting the old maps ... hmmm, this one is labelled Gaul! Fine job Wehrmacht, you're already writing a good one and they become a lot easier and better after the first one. Kurt and Bill have a great one going at Firebase Bastogne. < Click here for that AAR of Kurt v Bill > [ April 10, 2004, 02:57 AM: Message edited by: JerseyJohn ]
Wehrmacht
Turn 7 Two German armies attack the ardennes hex, but the French army takes only two points of damage, and the Germans decide to attack british corps with all they can and it is easily destroyed. Germans move corps to the hex where british corps were

Wehrmacht
Turn 8 Fieldmarshall von Rundstedt ordered his troops to attack with everything to the hex northwest of ardennes. ''Today we start the biggest offence the world has ever seen, hunderds of thousands Aryan elite soldiers crush the French. We are covered by the Luftwaffe in this operation, five thousand aircrafts fly over our shoulders, finishing off the enemies that are running away from us. I accept only full victory! Those who do well in this operation, shall be rewarded in Paris! Germans attacked triumphantly with kill ratio of 6:1. The rest of the French soldiers were killed by the Luftwaffe. But Lutfwaffe had more casualties than Wehrmacht, RAF had intercepted with two airfleets, based near Paris. One carrier intercepted also, but it was a mistake. Germans reveled the carrier's position in the harbor of London and attacked it with two submarine flotillas. The carrier was left with 3 points, but it will be propably repaired next turn. Germans moved army to the hex northwest of Ardennes.
Wehrmacht
Turn 9 Something strange happened in the Allied turn. British bomber attacked sub in the channel. Then there was a text ''German escorts'' and then ''surprise contact'' and German airfleet destroyed the CARRIER that was based in London's port! Germans attacked to the Ardennes and got it, and also destroyed french corps west of Ardennes and got it too. After the second British carrier had intercepted, the cruiser scharnhorst and one German sub destroyed that carrier too. So this was a good day for the Germans
Wehrmacht
Turn 10 British revenge the destruction of their carriers by sinking German sub and cruiser. German offence halts and they reinforce their armies.
Arngrim
I must admit that I got a bit inspired by your AAR, and decided to try a game against the computer. Unfortionately i did't take Paris until turn 12! Back to the drawing board...

Wehrmacht
Turn 11 It's sunny morning and man wakes up from bed. He opens the window and feels the wind on his face. Then somebody knocks his door. ''Come in'' sayes the man. ''Mr Führer, Italy has declared war on Allies and is attacking in the Southern France!'' It's really hard to decide what to do with Italians in this tournament... British navy chase the German cruiser but can't catch it. Germans start their offence after small brake. They attack Frenc army with all air and one army, but it surived with only two points left. British are paying dearly for their interceptions. Wehrmacht
Turn 12 Germans lauch attack against French corps and desrtoys it easily. I didn't have any unit that could move to the exposed hex. French corps transport killed in the Med. Because of an unfortunate misclik, Italian transport was left to 5 point after it was surprised by British BB in the port of Malta. Wehrmacht
Turn 13 Another French corps destroyed. Italy moves troops to the LC. Italian transport sunk near Malta. Damn this is slow! Alexander is defending France very well
Wehrmacht
Turn 14 Another French army annihilated. Italians move to the hole on the front. Wehrmacht is only few mile out of Paris.
