Tragedy in the Atlantic

After a heroic battle against overwhelming odds, and in the finest traditions of the German Navy, our brave wolf packs are no more.

Germany mourns them.

"Neither ourselves nor our gallant French Allies have been spending our time in idleness these past long months. We are now fully prepared to turn back anything the Hun can throw at us. Herr Hitler, it seems you have missed the bus."

Decision in the West

stuka.jpg

In a lightning campaign, which has caught the Anglo-French flat-footed, German forces have conquered the Low Countries. The only resistance in Belgium and the Netherlands was from disorganized units exhibiting a misguided loyalty to their corrupt governments.

May%201940.jpg

The Wehrmacht, with the assistance of the local national socialist parties, is doing all in it's power to help the hordes of refugees seeking the security of Reich.

Fierce air battles have taken place over Belgium and on the French frontier. Even English carrier borne aircraft are being committed to the battle, so desperate is their need.

Breakthrough!

After a devastating aerial bombardment our forces have forced the French line in Northern France and are driving on Paris!

kb98.jpg

An entire French army has been utterly destroyed, while another is cut off in the Pas de Calais and reduced to 30%. Our panzers stand only a hundred kilometres from Paris!

The Boche breakthrough along the Belgian frontier.

Assaulted by massive air and armored attacks supported by powerful infantry formations, a French army is destroyed and another cut off, and decimated.

Counterattacing, a German Panzer corps is also destroyed but in doing so the French are forced to make tremendous compromises.

In the Mediteranean Italy appears ready to enter the frey.

Allied intelligence reports the Luftwaffe to presently be nearly twice it's original stregnth.

French Army Collapses!

In a stand worthy of the Goths on Vesuvius, the lead panzergruppe in our advance into France has been the subject of a desperate French counter attack.

Their sacrifice has won victory for Germany however. Off balance and exhausted, the French were devastated by a series of bold thrusts. Three French armies and a corps have been smashed, and the Maginot Line has been breached. Massive numbers of French soldiers have surrendered without firing a shot.

0018a.jpg

All that remains of France's frontier forces is a single corps huddled in the northern Maginot forts. The remnants of the French Army are huddled around Paris waiting for the next stroke of German lightning!

wwii396.jpg

England, of course, is nowhere to be seen.

An eerie gloom settles over the French Capital. The Government is toppled after the catastrophic defeat of the French Army and the remaining troops entrench wiout hope on the outskirts of Paris.

France Falls!

wk2_002.jpg

Beaten before battle was even joined, the two French Armies guarding the northern and eastern approaches to Paris have been swiftly crushed.

The Paris garrison put up only a token resistance, which thankfully spared the city from too much damage.

03_Eiffel_Tower_lge.jpg

With their capital gone, the French saw reason and agreed to submit to an Armistice. In what must be the most brilliant campaign in history, the Wehrmacht has avenged 1918!

Sieg Heil!

Meanwhile, saddened by the abominable treatment of the Italian poulation in France, Il Duce has acted to restore order to the Riviera.

ww2_it30.jpg

Luckily, a major military exercise was in progress in Piemonte, allowing the a speedy redeployment to the French border.

Cheering millionaires in Nice have greeted the Italian Army as liberators.

7 July 1940

The government of Neville Chamberlain falls with France.

Britain's new PM, Winston Churchill promises nothing but hardship and suffering in the cause of victory and proclaims, "The Battle of France has come to an end. The Battle of Britain has begun. ..."

A Last Appeal to Reason

reich01.jpg

With their French dupes totally defeated in a lightning campaign, England now faces the unnerving prospect of having to fight the war she wanted using her own forces.

In an eloquent address to the Reichstag, the Fuhrer has re-affirmed his commitment to peace in Europe. Now that the wrongs of Versailles have been righted, the German Reich is eager to live in harmony with the British Empire. Only a few minor details, such as colonial restitution and trade agreements, stand between the two great powers and an amicable peace.

ah_reichstag.jpg

Blind to sense, Churchill has not even deigned to reply to the Fuhrer's magnaminous offer.

Rather than trying to reason with a stubborn blowhard, Germany has chosen to address the English directly. Untold thousands of copies of the Fuhrer's speech have been dropped over England's cities.

04_Last%20Appeal.jpg

The only acknowledgement from the typically frivolous English press has been a report of a policeman in Salford being hit by a a bale of leaflets that failed to open.

Their time for laughter will soon be at an end...
