Now is the Challenge of our discontent, made horrid cess by this son of Peng

Recommended Posts

Plots have I laid, inductions dangerous,

By drunken prophecies, libels, and taunts,

To set my brother Sean and Peng

In deadly hate the one against the other:

And if Peng be subtle, false, and treacherous

As I am, well, subtle, false, and treacherous,

This day should Seanachai closely be mew'd up,--

About a prophecy which says that S

Of Peng's heirs the murderer shall be.

Dive, thoughts, down to my soul:--here Seanachai comes.

[Enter SEANACHAI, guarded, and LARS.]

Brother, vile day: what means this armed guard (and well armed at that) That waits upon your grace?

Try to follow along now Agua, I’ll type slowly.

Key Lime = Sweet.

+

Gin = Lonely Girls Friend.

A combination made to order. The more you can get into her, the better.

I, of course, am just there to help. And if I have to drink them too, well, it’s the least a Knight Errant can do (and never let it be said I didn’t do the least that I could do).

As did you (assuming Lars is your real name), you amphibian-pimping amplexophile.

Yes, it is my real name. As for the rest of it, what? I may have gigged frogs, I may have even sold frogs, but what the heck is an amplexophile? Or are you just making words up?

Awaiting a definition (and your setup) with sweetly baited breath.

Sir Lars

Ya, dat do feel gut.

O, that this too too solid cess would melt

Thaw and resolve itself into a duel!

Or that the Everlasting had not fix'd

His (76mm) canons 'gainst ssn-slaughter! O God! God!

How weary, stale, flat and unprofitable,

Seem to me all the uses of this board!

Fie on't! ah fie! 'tis an unheeded challenge,

That grows to seed; things rank and gross in nature

Possess it merely.

Ahem.

Or in short words that your little rat-mind can grasp:

Slapdragon, send me a setup.

I am in need of some Entertainment, and I suspect that the movement of your troops, compared often and humorously to the thrashings of a sack-full of stoats would provide me with tea-time giggles for a month.

Have at thee. Nyah.

Ahh yes, challenge 65 for me. And my computer is acting up. Still, tonight, I will be facing all and sundry. Tonight you get a setup.

Ahem.

O MrSpkr has no vowel

and he packs a tiny dowel

that he likely wants to trowel

(with a guilty-pleasured howl)

up the unsuspecting bowel

of the hoofed beast he's behind!

O MrSpkr's missing letters

that are favored by his betters

but he considers them mere fetters

and prob'ly smells like wet wool sweaters

rubbed with rancid lemon rind!

O MrSpkr has no shame

shown by his choice of name

and I called upon his game

but no setup ever came

no honor did I find!

If you want some definition, do more situps or do a search (or, as we used to say before the Internet (back in Slappy's youth in the 1890's, when a "dry" Martini contained half a shot of corn syrup and a whole peach) look it up). And gargling with chum doesn't exactly make your breath "sweet," laddy me lad. No wonder you need such poofy booze to get any action.

As for the setup, you'll get it when I bloody well get to it, Mr. Kaaaanniggitt-for-a-day. That'll be Real Soon, just after I return to Planet 10.

They that have power to Peng and will do none,

That do not do the thing they most do show.

Who moving others are themselves as stone,

Unmoved, cold, and to temptation slow.

They rightly do inherit heaven's graces,

And husband natures riches from expense.

They are the lords and owners of their faces,

Mad Matt but steward of their excellence.

The summer Peng is to the summer sweet,

Though to itself it only live and die.

But if that Peng with base temptation meet,

The basest Slapdragon outbraves his dignity.

For sweetest things grow sourest by their deeds.

Pengers that fester smell far worse than weeds.

Chupacabra has returned to his rightful place ... unfortunately while he was fumbling with the latch a couple of SSNs wandered in too. Frankly lads I blame all the high-brow spouting that's been going on ... it masks the smell of the place and the outerboarders think it's some kind of poetry slamming coffee house.

I did. No matches. More effort than I usually put into anything. And I'm not removing the dictionary from under the table leg. My drink will spill.

What is this?? The PBS affiliated version of the Peng Challenge thread? Why don't all you Dead Poet Society geeks dry up and go to the library to scrap off free gum under the table.

This is the most boring and asinine MBT ever.

I'm especially ashamed to see former squires of mine involved in this travesty. People (and Slapdragon), we have SSNs that need tending to, we have old friends that need to be chastised for being absent, we have Stuka to scorn for his gamey, non-double blind playing methods. In short ... we have better things to do.

Well it is now that YOU'RE here.

Why don't you sod on off to the Outer Boards and have a go at explaining to Fieldmarshall (oh He of 'My WinZip has fallen and I can't get it up!' fame) why he is the LAST person in the world to be explaining things to newbies.

Or better still, just SOD OFF.
