Darren Bane
This is great news, but I've hit a snag. When I went to order, the postage was still added on even when there is no physical media to post. As this makes up a significant portion of the total, I wonder is it possible not to pay it? At the moment you have to select a S/H fee (N. America, W. Europe, etc.), and there's no option for "Download only, no postage". Thanks.
Moon
Hi Darren, this is obviously not correct. Download only means that - download only, and there should be no S&H fee. Are you sure that you are choosing the right product/delivery? The product code would be ending with a DW for "download only". We'll check into it right away. Moon
Darren, I just checked the TacOps pages (both for the standalone game and for the bundle), and do not see that S&H is being added. S&H comes up at zero. Can you let us know where you see this happening? You can also email matt@battlefront.com directly. Thanks! Madmatt
I see the problem, I am very sorry about that. I will have it mixed in just a minute. If you already placed an order and got the extra Shipping and Handling charge applied for a Download Only order, then email me directly at Matt@battlefront.com and give me the order number and I will of course refund you the extra amount charged. Madmatt p.s. If you go to re-order, make sure and refresh the pages otherwise your browser might have cached the old version before I made the fix. Darren Bane
Thanks, the ordering system works exactly the way I expected now. Now to learn TacOps ... it seems quite a step up from the Steel Panthers game that I used to play
Moon
Hi Darren... ooooh yes. One of the big things that is terrible in Steel Panthers is the ability to move with one unit, observe what happens, then adjust following moves in the same turn to that, or what we call I-GO-U-GO. With the introduction of WE-GO, i.e. a simultaneous turn-based system, TacOps is offering a whole different and much more realistic game experience. You're in for quite ride there Martin
MajorH TacOps Developer
>Now to learn TacOps ... Do the TacOps "Basic Training" tutorial first, even before looking at the user guide. See the file named “Tutorial.pdf” . The tutorial offers the fastest path to enjoyable play.
Ketil
What's up with the difference in the pricing for the download and mail option for Tac Ops versus all the other games? $25/$25/$40 versus Strategic Command at $25/$25/$25 for example.
Moon
Hello Ketil, well, different products have different prices. That's all there is to it really. Martin
