BRDM-2 texture problem and other stuff

Game Engine 4, without mods, 2.13 patch.

BRDM-2 has got a black turret. BRDM-2M and BRDM-2 (ATGM) is ok.

So, even the last patch didn't fix UKR Kitolov-2M HE (2S1) and Gran HE (2B11):

How many time devs need to fix UKR 2S1 and 2B11? Maybe i dramatize, but i believe I had seen this bugs when the game had come out.

There is a main problem, that UKR army should't have this ammunition. Alas, despite my several reports since previous patches, this hasn't been fixed to this time.

To the BRDM-2:

 

The BRDM-2M is ok

the brdm-2 have missing turret-texture.

 

If you copy the textures of the BRDM-2 from shockforce 2 to CMBS everything is ok (exept from the sand-camo 😉).

 

So I think there is a workaround possible...

Ok...the missing turret and hatches-textures can you correct:

- copy the brdm-2-turret.bmp and brdm-2-hatch.bmp

- rename it to brdm2-turret.bmp and brdm2-hatch.bmp

 

(the same with the corresponding normal-maps and if you use mods then you have to do it with your modded files...to stay consistent!)

 

I couldn't identify he black equipment...

 

(Forgot the hatches)

I know, saying 'fix' I mean the same. It'd be better if devs would add Javs to UKR, at least as non-QB units, like as BMP-3 in CMSF2 (scenarios design only).

Lol...the black-equipment on yours brdm2s:

- copy your russian-vehicle-gear.bmp and russian-vehicle-gear [ukraine].bmp

- rename the "russian-vehicle-gear"-Part to "syria-vehicle-gear"

Drat. It looks like the CMSF2 BRDM2 model had been worked on then simply copied over to CMBS, forgetting the files had been renamed.

Try this. Rez Explode the brz black sea v100c, go into vehicle/brdm and grab the following files:

  • brdm-2-hatch [ukraine].bmp
  • brdm-2-hatch.bmp
  • brdm-2-turret [ukraine].bmp
  • brdm-2-turret.bmp

Then delete the first hyphen so they read

  • brdm2-hatch [ukraine].bmp
  • brdm2-hatch.bmp
  • brdm2-turret [ukraine].bmp
  • brdm2-turret.bmp

Then drop them into the mods folder.

What did you do and what brdm-2 are we seeing? All three are ukraines?

 

I checked mine and for me all are showing the correct textures (including syrian equipement ;-))...after the copying and renaming....

 

MikeyDs explanation is better thann mine...
