Commanderski
I think some people actually have, they are quite a dedicated bunch. The game is also insanely detailed down to every ship of any kind that ever floated in the Pacific from every nation and every pilot by name for the US.

BTW: See my post above this one.

Erwin
Am a huge fan of WITPAE and it's my "go to" game when I get burned out playing CM (been playing since 1999 so...). But, it's easy to burn out on WITPAE as it is very intellectually demanding with so many features/things one has to remember - most of which are not in the manual. One needs to study some of the WITPAE forums - some of which haven't had posts in years, but are still an invaluable source of hints and info.

The learning curve is huge. I'm thinking about a video showcasing the Marianas action in summer 1944. Right now I'm just trying to understand the mechanics and logic of the system. Herman Wouk likened carrier warfare as a precursor to MAD. Even leaving one enemy CV still operating will ruin your day as to the imbalance between offensive and defensive capabilities. I've yet to get the magic ratio between fighter escorts and CAP down. All it takes is a 1/2 dozen Kates to get through and it can all go bad real fast. 5 hours ago, Combatintman said: Good stuff again mate. Highly recommend you visit some of the old WITPAE sites where there is a TON of useful/vital info and analysis that goes way beyond the manual as well as very useful check lists and advice. You can easily find em via Google IIRC.
Megalon Jones
New series started. H2H vs Hedgehog from the FGM on the 'Road to Wiltz.' 'Grosshau' hasn't been abandoned. Ought to be finishing that up soon. (Edit: Video aspect ratio is partly screwed up.....action is fine, but some of the maps are cut off) Edited December 9, 2019 by Megalon Jones

Megalon Jones
Yahoo Dore; Welcome, Welcome Christmas Day Here's another episode! Bonus points if you can name the Hollywood composer I'm aping during the music bit Edited December 23, 2019 by Megalon Jones
Warts 'n' all
I don't anything about Hollywood composers. My boys go into the Ardennes with Basie's "Jumping at the Woodside" to fire 'em up.
