Wingman47 10 Posted September 15 (edited) I upgraded to 4.0 and now the unit designations are crazy. US Airborne forces are descdribed as Sturmgrenadiers and Heavy Tank Destroyer Any suggestions on resolving this? Unfortunatly my screen shot is too large to upload to show the issue. Thank you. IanL 1,468 Posted September 15 Sounds like a mod problem. Those things can happen when you have a mismatched version of the animated text mod or other string based mod. Another way to get something like that is if the install found another game's files and created a strange Frankenstein install.
BFCElvis 24 Posted September 16 Could be a mod problem but most commonly it indicates that something is missing from the installation. Open a Help Desk ticket and include a screenshot of the contents of the game's Data folder and I'll be able to confirm it.
MikeyD 832 Posted September 16 Yeh, for Beta testers (who do a LOT of installing and patching) wonky text is a surefire indicator that you've either got one too few or one too many .brz files in your Data folder
Wingman47 10 Posted September 16 Thanks for the response. I opened a ticket with data file screen shot attached to the ticket

KenMech 5 Posted September 23 I re-installed the game and all is as it should be. This installation was on my laptop and I seem to remember an issue I had when upgrading. On my original installation I did not use the default directories and when I applied the patch something went wrong. But all is well now 🙂 KenMech
