Sometimes in other games I have been able to set up config files to override game menu settings, with things such as forcing memory sizes, screen resolutions and draw distances. I think reducing the quality will increase the draw distance but I personally have not experimented. MikeyD Posted November 30, 2019 Share Posted November 30, 2019 'Max settings' can be counter-productive sometimes. If you're stressing-out your graphics card the game will automatically start looking for ways to lessen the burden and most often that mean terrain and foliage gets downsampled. For example, if you go into Options and change tree detail to 'low' the branches will stop swaying in the wind, lightening the burden on the processor. If you set 3-D model quality from 'best' to 'better' the game allocate more of the graphics card to terrain and less to vehicles.
