In Wiki, I didn't find source claiming Milan 3 has top-down attack mode but tandem warhead. Rinaldi Posted January 11, 2019 Share Posted January 11, 2019 I'm familiar with the mission. It's a tabletop-flat terrain for the Syrians to attack over. You have to remember that skilled operators of an ATGMs are constantly making micro-adjustments to the missile's flight line. Couple that with them firing from roofs or raised berms and its completely plausible they're hitting turret-tops rather than glacis.
