A commando type raid was allegedly made on the Isle of Wight and kept so classified it still hasn't been released. Considering ULTRA was revealed in the early 1970s, that's saying a lot. Reviews on Amazon not good. Truly, a rousing song. One of the comments on the video says it should be UK's anthem after leaving Brexit. It really resonates with people. WAs this the set of event you were referring to in the film? Gave me a chill! Don't know how they did it, but it was scary, especially the knights on barded horses. If you PM me, I can refer you to a nonfiction book about an almost totally unknown weapon defending England. A real mind blower. No one can protect such a vast length of coastline and German special forces were far more active during ww2 than commonly known. But the full truth about ww2? Not in our lifetime if ever. Some time ago I've read that Marika Rökk, the famous Hungarian singer/dancer/actress during ww2, worked for the Soviets. I mean, who can you trust nowadays? Dick book of the same name "The Man In The High Castle".. Concept: In an alternative universe, the Nazis (who developed the nuke bomb first) occupy the US to the eastern Rockies, and the Japanese occupy the US to the west of the Rockies. The book, almost like a beefed up sci-fi short story, was okay. I recently watched the TV show. It's completely different from the book. I do like a lot of the world building that was missing in the book -- but I concur 100% with the soap elements. It's not a bad show, but there are way too many irrelevant plots that hog up a lot of screen time. At the end of S3, IDK what they're doing with this. I remember the I Ching was the central plot device in the book, but here it's even more sci fi? I was a huge fan of Philip K Dick and read everything of his when I was a teenager. They were actually life changing as his ideas made me think of the world in a different way. However, High Castle was not one of my favorites. Many of his other books have now been the basis for many movies and TV series re alternate futures. Yeah, K Dick's work's timeless -- it's ideas and commentary is still fully as relevant now as it was then (if not more so). Some really rad sci-fi concepts. Very good writing too. Respect where respect is due. I'm more an Asimov fan, myself. Asimov's work doesn't get nearly enough love from Hollywood. The again, after seeing I, Robot... maybe that's for the best.
