It's the fascinating and engrossing story of how the numerous courageous actions of one LT Thomas James Eugene Crotty got the Coast Guard a Battle Streamer for Philippine Defense as the only active duty Coast Guardsman present. Quite the story. Couldn't find a way to post even a partial link (.com removed) that wouldn't potentially violate Forum Rules because it would go straight to the blog. Definitely worth the visit.
