Shooting down aircraft.

An update to this topic. In the CMFI v4 upgrade AA effectiveness was looked at by Charles and significantly tweaked. It was one of his last game changes before releasing. My last AA test I got me a shoot-down(woo hoo!) and considerably fewer units on the ground died from attacking aircraft. Aircraft are still a pain but they aren't omnipotent anymore.

Hope that's true for BN, too. In a current game, I have two 20mm AA on halftracks and my opponent obviously lot's if planes.

The AA is blasting merrily away and it will be interesting to see, if they hit anything.

BTW, is there a way to see any kills in the game? So far, I only noted Aircraft kills on the final results screen.

Hopefully you will soon. :)

Would I have to be locked on the firing AA, or is that a general message seen from all positions?

And, a bit off topic, back then in the Steel Panthers days, I once had a shot down Me110 crashing onto the battlefield. THAT was a sight....

I used to create a lot of paratrooper and glider missions in SPWAW and seeing those C47 or Gliders going down was nerve wrecking!
