antaress73
Steve once said they would also make family upgrades, meaning new equipement but without a new module coming out. Any news on this ? WHat I would like to see; RUssia: T72B3M with commander`s panoramic sight. 32 (probably more) were delivered to the Russian armed forces in 2016 https://sputniknews.com/military/201603191036592096-russia-t-72-upgrade/ T-90M (domestic version of T-90MS , close to T-90AM but with better fire control and additional armor) http://defence-blog.com/army/russia-unveils-new-t-90m-proryv-3-main-battle-tank.html Tigr with Kornet-EM More scope equipped russian troops per squad. Glonass (GPS) rounds for Russian Arty http://www.defense-aerospace.com/articles-view/release/3/173267/russia-claims-its-gps_guided-artillery-rounds-cost-$1,000.html Koalitsiya-SV USA: M1A2 abrams without ERA and LWR M1A1SA (national guard) Bradley without LWR there is more to upgrade on the Russian side since the US already has all the future cool toys (including the cancelled one like the XM-25)
exsonic01
Does the T-90M program still includes the 2A82 (or 2A82-1) cannon? Edited January 17, 2017 by exsonic01

antaress73
I was forgetting for the T-72b3M , IT now has Relikt armor instead of kontakt-5 with better coverage, the commander's panoramic sight has thermals and it has a new Much more powerful engine .
exsonic01
How about DPICM and FASCAM shells? Are there any particular reason why those shells are not appearing? 155mm / 152mm IR-blocking smoke also? (But I remember that devs refused to introduce thermal blocking smoke artillery since in was never officially issued)
HUSKER2142
RUS. Returning to the operation of T-80 tanks, will be similar to the modernization of the T-72B3. But only a little better. https://southfront.org/reactive-t-80bv-tanks-returning-in-service-of-russian-army/ Возвращение в строй танков Т-80 , модернизация будет схожа с танком Т-72Б3 . The Soviets fielded a ton of tank variants, but in CMBS we only have two variants. Not doubting that this is accurate to current Russian TO&E, it just feels weird to me.

antaress73
Yeah just read about the Return of the Upgraded T-80BVs in service. Quite a lot of them also. Sosna-U thermals and fire control, Relikt ERA , new engine .. Network capability. We want that in the game. akd
SEPv2 in game is really a hybrid SEPv2 and SEPv3, so it wouldn't really add anything new. I would rather see what we have as the v2 relabeled as the v3, and instead add an "as of today" v2. Possibly the v3 could be updated with the low-profile crows, although we are yet to actually see it installed on a tank.
exsonic01
I think current ingame SEPv2 is right at the point, except the trophy and M829E4 shell (not sure about this point) but anyway, if we could see the SEPv3 than it would be great.

I read about this back in early 2016 but forget about this. Thanks to remind me. So are the Trophy, LWR, and m829e4 are the difference? 3 hours ago, Vanir Ausf B said: As pointed out, the Abrams in the game is pretty much a SEPv3. Well, it would be good if the battlefront models the more realistic v2 and v3 version. Edited January 24, 2017 by exsonic01

akd
Orders for large caliber ammunition include a contract for the full-rate production of its next generation 120mm Kinetic Energy anti-tank cartridge, M829A4 which recently received type classification and has passed its initial lot acceptance testing. Full rate production is expected to begin in early 2016. https://www.orbitalatk.com/news-room/release.asp?prid=85

antaress73
I was saying a couple of days ago that the T-90M selected by the Russian army to replace the T-90A (all 400 of them will be upgraded) will use the new 125mm A82 gun from the armata and Malackit ERA (more effective than Relikt against APFDS, Will probably defeat more often the M829A4). It is way superior to the T-90AM in the game. With Vacuum-1 rounds It will punch through 950mm-1000mm or armor at 2000 meters. It will also have the afghanit APS as standard equipment. Afghanit has sucessfully intercepted sabot rounds on tests. Here's the confirmation . https://sputniknews.com/military/201701211049856690-t-90m-armata-cannon-russia/ Here's the article about afghanit APS: http://nationalinterest.org/blog/the-buzz/the-game-changing-feature-russias-t-14-armata-might-make-17859 That tank needs to be in the game. Between afghanit, Malackit ERA and the new gun and ammo, It will give the Russians in the game a near peer to the Abrams .
