Complete Winter Mod

Hi,

sorry for the possibly stupid question:

I'm getting back to the CM after a while, and discovered there is a Winter Mod for the Red Thunder in Cmmodsiii. Since the winter battles of the east is something that really turns me on (not in that way), it is clear that I'm really interested about this. Question is, that can I find a complete mod pack for the winter mod, or do I just download and apply everything piece by piece (the Kohlenklau seems have done the mod, so I just download everything from him?).

Thanks in advance!

PS. I found this:

There is quite new post where are all the links collected to the same place. I'm going to apply everything connected to this to make it as authentic as it can be. A BIG thanks to all the modmakers. I really appreciate the amount of work you've put in this!

@lavehk  I hope you can download the necessary files to enjoy a few of the winter scenarios. @BarbaricCo (the magnificent Stjepan) and I and some other few modders put some serious hours into that project. It is a giant monstrosity of files AND we did NOT mod every vehicle but I think it is worth it to try and download it.

If you have the hard drive space I do recommend you do a 2nd CMRT install (just a quick easy copy of the files NOT loading from the CD!) and set up your mods to be partitioned to each of the 2 installs. Non-winter to your original summer 1944 install and the winter mod in the z folder for the winter mod install. It makes avoiding/solving mod conflict issues much easier. In my threads I have a walk-thru on how to do the 2nd install. with its own desktop icon to fire it up.

Good luck. PM me if you need help.

I had time to download all the mod files/maps I could find. Seems to work - and looks great! I've had yet no time to play, but I'll surely go through the scenarios made.

Just one more question:

Winter is made to work only in designated scenarios? Or is there (easy) way to make the whole game as a "winter".

Not that I'm not happy what I got, just making sure I use the mod correctly.

I tried it and it wont give me opportunity to do so, the winter mod scenarios are working thought. I'll take closer look at weekend, so I can see where I did wrong.

I just tossed stuff to the Z-folder and the scenarios-folder, so I might have missed something.

...and highly recommended by all!  Thank you again, Koh!

You are welcome.

Soon in 2017 or 2018 BFC will release a CMRT module with snow terrain.

....and professional telogreika jacket. But if you squint and had a few beers, my amateur telogreika jacket mod does the job nicely!

Thank to all the modders once more! The mod works perfectly. I'm currently probing swampy forest with German infantry and everything looks very nice. The winter sound mod is also in use and howling wind with the night sky makes it really cool.

Will definitely try out the Finland and the Stalingrad mods too later on!
