delliejonut
Got a hard copy Paradox version of CMSF, bought all three bundled modules and installed them fine. Then I install the 1.31 patch and my .exe disappears. I ran the game and licensed the modules before I installed the patch. Any suggestions?
delliejonut
Also, several of my CMSF directory folders are not in English.
highlandcharge
Its your anti virus, :-) Disable it when you are installing, then add every SF exe and the SF game folder as exceptions before enabling again.. Mord
You also might wanna read this. http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1533&Itemid=378 If none of that applies it is most definitely as highlandcharge said. Especially if it's Norton AV. Mord. Edited June 27, 2015 by Mord
delliejonut
Thanks Highland. Mord, I'm don't think I need that patch. I bought the Marine/British/Nato bundle and installing it patched my game to 1.30 automatically.
Mord
Then it's the stinking AV. Do exactly what he said and you should be fine. I have gone through that same thing at least a dozen times over the years. Just makes sure you exclude for whatever kinda scans your Anti Virus does. I say that because Norton has two types of scans, but I don't know what other AVs do. Good luck and let us know if it works. Mord. delliejonut
Got it fully patched running, but any thoughts on why this is occurring? I speak American Edited June 29, 2015 by delliejonut
Mord
It's normal. Everyone has them loaded when they install. From what I remember it's fine to delete those folders. Mord.
highlandcharge
NoThanks Highland. Mord, I'm don't think I need that patch. huhr
I have the game installed to 1.21. I had a load of problems the other day installing this game with AVG running. Once I disabled this, it worked. I am wary of installing the other patches due to missing the .exe when installing a new patch suggestions and what order?
Schrullenhaft
Here is the installation process for CMSF and its modules/patches. Hopefully that will work for you.
