Update on Black Sea release

Recommended Posts

He says they're untrustworthy.  I say they're not.  History says they're not.

What other issue is there?

Service. That covers a lot.

And we disagree about trustworthy. You must not run a Mac.

Not to mention the obvious logic error...

Still aiming to get this out before February rolls around. We should be hitting Final Candidate any day now. Release date remains unchanged: When It's Ready. :D

Also, some of you guys are taking that "FC lasts a week" estimation way too literally. This is probably why before me BFC just shut up and didn't say anything until the day the game came out. ;)

Chris, your twitter feed suddenly starts talking about things besides the game.  Please fix or throw us a bone!?

My twitter account is a personal account. I might repeat some news on it, but you shouldn't count on it as a news source.

That is soooooooo true! It is just one of the ways these bozos have of trying to chivvy BFC into giving them what they want right now. It doesn't win them anything at all, but that never stops them from trying. They are like those pathetic customers you see in casinos with their buckets of quarters and the handle in their hands. Now if BFC would just charge them a quarter every time they post, they could hire a second second programmer.

:D

ChrisND,

Thanks for the pics! Those laser protective optics and vision blocks on the Abrams look like glowing eyes. Evil glowing eyes! Unless it's mine, of course. The BMP-3 brings to mind: "Purple sky at morning, pretty much everyone take warning, and the label "UK' threw me, because I had no idea a) the UK was in and B) it had a Tunguska, a weapon system whose armament remains confusing to me. Some sources say it has twin 30 mm cannon while others say it has two twin 30 mm cannon, evidently with the guns packed tightly together. Which is correct, please? Naturally, I quickly realized, following a brain reset, "UK" was for the Ukrainian Army, but I'm used to seeing it referred to on the CMBS Forum as "UKR." Appreciate your managing our expectations on the release date. Much better than a bucket of icy water and thus, better for our computers.

ChrisND,

Clean forgot to mention how blown away I was by the OPLOT. Looks like something straight out of SF, say, Hammer's Slammers for mercs whose firms can't afford grav tanks. By contrast, the T-90 looks like it's from SF, but many generations earlier relative to Hammer's Slammers. But the key question here is who will field a Bolo first? "Unit LNE1, why did you do it?" "For the honor of the Regiment, sir."

Bahger,

Ate there once, but I can't for the life of me remember what I ate. Good, though. The place had not only that long established vibe, but the all male waiters had been there for many decades.

TAKODA,

Welcome aboard!

As for the game, judging from both the casualties and the all but unbelievable casualty rate per minute, maybe players need to buy a force the size of the next echelon up--in order not to have everybody wiped out in ten minutes! Otherwise, how is either side going to make it through a half hour of combat? What a meat grinder! Speaking of meat grinders, I learned today that the fatalities in the American Civil War far exceeded, US fatalities in World War II--and weren't equaled even summing US fatalities in WW II and WW I! See for yourself here.

I have been saving the amount of money for the digital version since the beginning of December.. the money is dying in the account and is resisting buying other games... please save the money from itself so it can be delivered to you.

Or just do digital pre-orders for Godsakes :P

Damn, I have never believed that there had been so many losses during the civil war. Thank you for the link and info.

LOVE the concrete barriers in last pic. Game's looking great!

The concrete barriers do look cool.  I wonder if they are flavor objects that vehicles can ignore or if they are like hedgehog obstacles in the WWII titles that restrict vehicular movement.

It's a bit misleading. The Civil War count is for Americans killed. The count is so high because BOTH SIDES were Americans.

ChrisND,

"Purple sky at morning, pretty much everyone take

John Kettler

I grew up on in an area on the east coast that was a major seafaring area for almost 400 years. Since our typical weather pattern is west to east, sailors say "Red sky at night, sailors delight. Red sky in morning, sailors take warning." When the sun sets and tints the clouds red or pink, you know the sky is clear to the west, and there are no storms coming in. When the sun rises and tints the clouds red or pink, it means it's overcast to the west and bad weather might be on the way.

Never heard anything about a "purple" sky.
