poesel
Nice list, thanks. A more complete list is here: http://www.imdb.com/search/keyword?keywords=world-war-two Although at 4950 entries not very useful. And an interesting question (with answer) relating to this: Did WWII last longer than the total length of movies about WWII? For that matter, which war has the highest movie time:war time ratio? https://what-if.xkcd.com/100/
Davek555
I just watched "The Book Thief" the other night and really enjoyed it. Not really a WWII action movie but great story and performances. Another one that rarely gets mentioned in these lists but I enjoy watching is the old mini-series "The Winds of War" and "War and Remembrance".
Erwin
I think I've seen all but a couple. Used to see a lot of movies.
Kommissar
LOL "The Notebook" is #4 on the IMDB list. Yeah, a real great war movie there .
ridethe415
I made my kids watch Sophie Scholl, the last days, the youngest ended up in tears at the end. Imagine standing up for freedom, at age 22-ish, under such a regime. Subtle, but powerful "war" movie...
