Frotz
Hi chaps Very much new to these games but having played a couple of the Marine module campaign missions, I'm wondering how I'd go about getting a PBEM game going with someone? I'd rather play against a human player even if it means getting destroyed just for the interesting challenge and learning experience that comes from that. Can't promise it'd be the fastest turnaround on turns, as I'd be reading up on a lot of mechanics and such as I play, but I can promise I'd finish the game if anyone wants to play me and give guidance on a good scenario to begin on? Nice community you seem to have here, from what I've been reading to try and get my head round what I've played single player so far. Any advice is very gratefully accepted :-) Edit: Side question - Any mods that are considered almost mandatory?
Frotz
As a little background to my experience, I played the old Microprose M1 Tank Platoon to death on my Amiga. Although the killer strategy of putting your M1's on hilltops mastering the battlefield and not caring about immobilisation while watching the Soviet ATGM's bounce off the frontal armour may not work in this game, I'm pretty keen to get back into that era of technology in a war game ;-)

BlackMoria
As a little background to my experience, I played the old Microprose M1 Tank Platoon to death on my Amiga. Even the lowly RPG can wreck your day unless you behind ERA armor and even at that, RPG hits will degrade systems on your vehicle. This 'era of technology' will quickly teach you to respect and avoid ATGMs, particularly later generation ATGMs. Being 'one shotted' by a ATGM is common in this game. Welcome to the community and enjoy this great game. You can add me to the list of people if you want a PBEM game.
