Amadeus Posted February 20, 2014 Share Posted February 20, 2014 Hi there, a new German player ask me about his bad performance playing AoD. The game starts without problems but scrolling and handling units is very slow. Delays for transports are about 2-3 seconds and the AI turn takes minutes. The PC is an AMD 8 CPU (8*4 GHZ); 16 GB Ram, Geforce GTX 760 mit 2 GB Ram. The game itself is on a 2nd harddrive. That should be enough to play smouthly isn't it. Any thoughts to solve the problem. I would suggest downloading and installing the latest video card driver for his system as well as in the Advanced settings dialog to try and disable map text to see if that helps as text on some systems slows things down for some reason. Isnogud Posted February 20, 2014 Share Posted February 20, 2014 If he uses Win8, he should use the latest AoD patch and run the game in win8 mode as administrator.
