Were there triggers in CMX1?

Technically no but the victory flags mostly insured that the AI would attack/counter attack you if you controlled one. It was imperfect but did get the enemy moving (but not always). What we have now would be the best of both worlds in my opinion. Lots more control on the designer's part and the ability to provide some mid game counter attacks without having to guess where or when the player will be at certain locations in the scenario.

We're going to add an American Jeep, but wound up deciding it would go in with the rest of the Lend Lease equipment. We did make an exception for the Studebaker 6x6 because it was the most prevalent truck for hauling around the larger guns. Functionally the US Jeep and the Gaz are identical. They drive about 4 guys around the map really fast then blow up :D

Come to think of it, I have not yet seen the exact time frame for Red Thunder.

First sentence LOL. You were too busy oogling all those screenies.

"Combat Mission: Red Thunder focuses on the hard fought battles from the swamps of Belarus to the gates of Warsaw during the summer of 1944."

I imagine the time constraint of Bagration is only gonna matter for this one release seeing that we are supposed to go all the way to the end of the war...but "On June 22nd, 1944, the Soviets launched the single largest ground offensive that the world has ever seen: Operation Bagration."
