kensal
Waclaw downloading now - I will let you know whether it sounds better than the original on my mac
kensal
I've tested the mac specific shots file and it seems to work as well but no different to the original. I haven't detected any missing sounds in it.
waclaw
https://www.dropbox.com/s/8df7b8g8mwtr3x3/High%20Quality%20Sound%20MAC.rar full version(MAC), plus a little surprise;) Installation guide: 1. put the "sound" in your Data/Z folder. 1. WATCH OUT! - If you have any sound modules you have to remove folders which mod changes, because sounds have changed names. Don't just copy and paste. If you do it both old and new voices will remain! 2. folder "Background", "voices", "movement", "music" from "sound" - paste and replace, If you don't have anything like that, just leave it alone.

Fizou
Again, just an excelent mod. Im wondering why BFC use letters for variations in explosions and numbers for veriasions in gun sounds (uniforms etc). gun.wav gun 2.wav gun 3. wav etc explosion a.wav explosion b.wav Why not use numbers for explosions as well?

jhmorneau
Thanks for your mod ! I installed it yesterday and so far enjoy it very much ! But I found that it has an adverse effect to the graphical part of the game. Textures keep changing all the time. Maybe it's memory related ? I've got 4 Gb of RAM on my PC. I was wondering if anybody else is experiencing a similar issue ?

I was wondering if anybody else is experiencing a similar issue ? Maybe it's drivers? similar effects (system crash / freez mouse) I had the latest driver from NVDIA - last completely stable is 306.23 ps. sometimes the game "cut" texture to save frame rate - for example, a shot of 2 cm Flakvierling 38 just kills texture;)
jhmorneau
I just found out that, for an unknown reason, graphic parameters for CMBN had been changed to "Fastest". This explains the ever reloading textures phenomenon. So the problem I ran into had nothing to do with your brilliant sound mod. Sorry about that and thanks again for your great mod !

waclaw
nice mod mate...but why are you using sounds from my SFX mod without permission ? I want not complain, but ask me would have been ok ! thx Stephsen I did it based on your mods, and it seemed to me that I replaced all the noise - which sounds? This will remove them. if I used some of your sound by accident - of course I'm sorry for that.

Peter Panzer
waclaw: Thank you for this great compilation! I tend to mix files from several sound mods to form a collection of effects I feel work well together and portray their real life actions with the most fidelity. The majority of my sound files are from your mod - you really put together an enormous amount of quality work here. I'm curious, is the voice work for "screams" 24-31 you? If so, congratulations as they sound very plausible. Convincing voice work is surprisingly difficult to create and really does require special talent and intuition. Most "scream" effects end up sounding like dramatic hyperbole, flat comedy or bad porn, but you've done a compelling job with several of them!

waclaw
and one more thing, I recommend the optional ambient - change from time to time - it really refresh the game experience.
Saferight
and one more thing, I recommend the optional ambient - change from time to time - it really refresh the game experience. Switching that once in awhile really keeps that part of the audio from making the game experience feeling monotonous. Keep up the good work.
Broadsword56
Great, immersive, stupendous mod! Thanks for updating. I especially like the "light" ambient noise set.

waclaw
See Waclaw, you should never put FINAL in the title of your releases This was to be a small correction, but has grown and surpassed the original. Therefore deserved another "number";) ps, but I could probably start a new thread; ( again link http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/5066/details

Humbug
This is a very good sound mod, but do you think it would be possible to release a second version with no bolt action sound for the corresponding rifles? This has been kind of a pet peeve of mine since Close Combat 5 and modders that for some reason just love adding that cranking sound after the actual shot. In my opinion it just sounds horrible in a fire fight with all the bolt cranking spam and you shouldn't really be able to hear it over all the gunfire anyway, which kinda breaks my immersion as well as being annoying. I can't be the only one who just can't stand this, or can I? I'm pretty limited in the sound mods I can get because of this. I guess I could edit the sounds myself to cut the bolt cranking out, but that would cut out the echo of the actual shot as well, and wouldn't sound very good as a result.
