Schrullenhaft
If the game is installed in the 'Program Files'/'Program Files (x86)' directory, then the files that are being written to the directories within those directories are being redirected to a hidden directory. This is a Windows security feature that came with Windows Vista and all newer versions of Windows. The file location is called the 'VirtualStore'. It is a hidden directory that is located here (for CMBB): '\Users\{your account name}\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Battlefront\Combat Mission Barbarossa to Berlin' In order to see hidden files you may need to make changes to the settings for the Windows Explorer File Manager. Organize > 'Folder and search options' > 'View' tab > 'Advanced settings' section > 'Hidden files and folders' sub-section > select 'Show hidden files, folders, and drives'. You will also want to UNCHECK 'Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)'. If you would rather not look for your files (in the future) in the VirtualStore directory, then you can launch CMBB by right-clicking and selecting "Run as administrator" from the popup menu. This will give the game administrator-level rights and the files will be written directly to the folders within the 'Program Files'/'Program Files (x86)' directory.
