  1. About The Scenario This is one for the modern ‘Tread heads’ amongst you! This is a revised version updating the orginal to CMSF2, so you will need the base game CMSF2 to play this. Revised AI Plan using triggers; tweaked map using new CMSF terrain features and updated OOB for both Syrian Army and Rebels. This is SF2 version 2 which has a slightly reduced mission time based on player feedback. The actual scenario is very loosely based on events in Daraya, a suburb of Damascus where rebels from the Free Syrian Army (FSA) have attempted to create a stronghold near Damascus centre. In
  2. I am doing the vanilla British campaign -- a change of pace from Normandy. During the briefings, I took a good look at the topographic maps. The ones that show you an overview of where the battle is happening in Syria. I noticed that they were not in English. Instead, in Cyrillic? I'm guessing? Maybe Russian? Blimey! What's a proper British officer, like myself, doing with Ivan's maps? Are cartography swap meets common? Were they paying us back for the topographic maps of Afghanistan?
  3. why doesnt republican guard/paratroopers have bulletproof or some kind of vest. game takes place in 2008. i think, anyone got some articles/sources that justify this decision by bfc
  4. After encountering a new Foreign Policy article while reading Yahoo, I thought this would be of interest to the readers here, as well as those who'd love to see something done so CMBS weapons can be ported over to CMSF, allowing the rapidly expanding and already intense combat actions by Russia on behalf of Syria to be simulated. http://news.yahoo.com/helicopter-putin-weapon-choice-syria-110030372.html In order to survive in a heavy MANPADS environment, Russian attack helicopter pilots, operating what are/ have been made to appear to be Syrian Mi-24 HIND attack helos, are flying unprecedentedl
  5. I've heard rumours of a Shock Force sequel so I thought this blog may come in handy if it were to ever happen, Syria has done some serious overhauling on some of their T-72's, I don't know how the game engine would simulate it but it would be interesting. Enjoy the blog http://spioenkop.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/syrias-steel-beasts-t-72.html
