Guys while modding some vehicles I've came across one thing I cant solve on my own. When I've modded BM Oplot Tank I've found out that no matter what I do this happens: Whenever I touch a turret of that tank this thing comes out and covers its sight. No matter how I do it - work detail by detail, or macro or micro level texturing this thing appears. I dont know what to do. I've tried to rework side gear textures, break down each texture in parts but every time I do something to its turret - this thing appeats. How to get rid of it? I've tried everything. So if someone knows what the problem might be - please help. So the original texuture is fine, but when you touch it... this thing covers the main sight... I don't know what to do. Please help. P.S. I think we can use this topic for seeking solutions to your problems as well. So let us work together to make CMBS even better than it already is. Thank you.
I think buddy aid is way too easy and highly unrealistic. Why not make it more realistic? Instead of current behaviour I think a two stage procedure could improve realism a lot. Instead that buddy aid is finished with one unit, a second unit should be needed to complete the task. The first one does buddy aid, the second one simulates a route for transporting away. More realism: The number of the needed headcount of the second unit could be set double as high as the number of wounded to transport. Example: Two wounded. Phase 1: Buddy aid conducted like it is now but after finishing the casualties do not magically disappear, but stay where they are (in the UI the status could be marked differently, for example showing a strechter). Phase 2: Since there are two casualties four different heads would be needed to move up to the casualties to make them disappear from the battlefield after some time. Even more realism: Time could be taken into account. The longer it takes to finish Phase 1 and 2, the higher the chance of a fatality.
Mord posted a topic in Archived CM Black Sea Tech SupportI just spent over four hours trying to get various CMX2 games to work with my new 42" inch flat screen TV. Just as I was about to give up, after multiple searches and much screwing with my comp settings, I stumbled across a post by Paulverisor64 with a solution that worked right away. Solution: Right-click on the launching shortcut for CMBN, CMFI, CMRT or CMBS and select "Properties" from the popup menu. In here go to the "Compatibility" tab and there will be a section in the middle of the tab labeled "Settings". At the bottom of of this section checkmark the box next to the text that says "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings". Click 'Apply' and then 'OK'. Hopefully this should now allow the game to run. So, seeing that it was an older thread and before the forums were updated, I figured I'd re-post the info with a better thread title and tags implemented so it could be found easier in the future. It may not work for everyone, I guess, depending on your issues. But like I said, it worked for me so it's probably worth a go trying it first before diving into your display settings and driving yourself crazy looking for a process of elimination/shot in the dark solution. Here's the link to Paul's original thread. http://community.battlefront.com/topic/106933-can-not-initialize-graphics-display-error/?hl=%2Bhdmi+%2Bissues THANKS PAUL!!! Mord.
