  1. If you haven't done any scenarios or campaigns yourself, this is a good enough reason to start. Why not start doing it today? It doesn't have to be very historical.
  2. So @Gumboots what did you think of the tv-series? Don't lie and say that you didn't watch it.
  3. You forgot @George MC and his scenarios. He's praised a lot by some people and will be sad not to be in your list.
  4. If I remember correctly from the time when you were waiting for Fire and Rubble, you were so annoyed about waiting for that DLC so people got annoyed by your complaints of being annoyed about the long waiting time. When the DLC finally arrived you promised not to complain anymore. But it seems that you almost are about to break that promise now when you're annoyed about waiting for this new DLC. Just relax and take some deep breaths and all will be fine.
  5. If you expect it to come by Christmas, you will get positively surprised when it actually shows up a bit earlier than that.
  6. I don't think it's the trees blocking the sight but two squirrels humping each other on the trunk to one of the trees. But as this game is children friendly those humping squirrels aren't visible to the player.
  7. She won't be able to with all this flipping nonsense that is going on right now. How can't people have something better to do than to stand for several hours just to have a look at the coffin the dead old woman is in? It's also just incredible how the news media can spend so much time reporting what Charles and his sons have been doing every day. I have avoided to buy any newspaper since she died because of this. Poor me will most likely have to wait another three or four weeks.
  8. That is of course a very good way of making more room for new prisoners. Attacking trenches with knives sounds like a good way of showing ones loyalty to mother Russia. Reminds me of how it possibly was for the Soviet peasants which were forced to fight during WW2. I wonder how many of those that will try to surrender to the Ukrainians as soon as possible so they turn out to be free from both the prison and the fighting after which they can remain in Ukraine as a free man if allowed to stay by the Ukrainians.
  9. Exactly. It's time to buy loads of candles to get the house bright enough and preferably a bit warmer during the winter too. Then it's possible to use the electricity to be able to play those video games without having to worry too much about the cost. And having loads of candles in the house will make the wife/girlfriend feel romantic too. So it's a win in the relationship with both the computer and the partner.
  10. Can't you just play any scenario and imagine that it's the SS-Wiking or any other SS-division you are playing?
  11. That will never happen. Too much work for Battlefront to do for some gamers when what they really are interested in is the work with military contracts. That is where the big bucks for them lie.
  12. Is this war still going on? If you watch the news it seems that Donald Trump and wild fires caused by draught is what journalists are interested in. I'm sure that in a couple of years this conflict will be just as remembered as the one in former Jugoslavia. With that I mean that people will say "War in Ukraine? What war in Ukraine?".
  13. I'm puzzled about that so far no one has blamed the Russian, Chinese or North Korean hackers. They usually get the blame when things happen with computer systems.
  14. For those of you that wanted to play this game and haven't bought it yet, it is now on sale with the different DLCs. A good series of YouTube videos about the beginning of the war is the one about the push towards Leningrad. The DLC is called Raging Bridgehead
  15. Now when many of this forum's members are feeling solidarity with Ukraine it's probably about time that they also show their solidarity by buying this game. Their office was apparently hit by Russian artillery during the attacks on Kharkiv. How are devs doing amid the war in Ukraine? Please support Graviteam Tactics
  16. Someone on reddit has started a thread about making a game in Unreal Engine 5 that will be a competitor to the Combat Mission games. If he isn't joking about this, it could be good for Battlefront to have a bit more competition as it maybe could make them want to improve their current game engine even more or better yet want them to make an up to date and better game engine which many of the members on this forum has been requesting for a while. It's a bit interesting why this person has a wish to compete with Combat Mission. He's most likely someone that has played at least one of these games and feels a bit disappointed with what the current game engine offers. It doesn't seem like there are loads of people buying and playing the Combat Mission games, so he doesn't seem to be looking for the big bucks from large sales. I'm building a game that will compete with Combat Mission in UNREAL ENGINE 5 Video on Youtube
  17. Why not just try it out and save the scenario with another name instead of asking here? To try things out oneself is the quickest way of learning even if it means that one sticks two nails into a socket just to see what will happen.
  18. My tip of the day is to watch this video of how they are restoring a Tiger tank in Australia.
  19. The thing that caught my eye were the silly explosions and bad graphics and bad animations.
  20. In the post above Steven says that the Combat Mission games are hyper realistic simulators. With those words Steven is most likely talking about a simulator in terms of how bombs, howitzer and cannon shells, AT-gun shells and AT-rockets and small arms bullets and more behave and penetrate different surfaces. It would be great if the games weren't only great battle simulators when it comes to weapons and surface penetration but also a great simulator in other ways. The simulation could for example be better in how soldiers behave in battle, with that I mean not only the soft factors, when they follow orders although they're almost dirtying the insides of their trousers. Although a CM-game fanatic with high hopes of success may behave more recklessly when he fights it seems that the more experienced and more motivated troops often cower and wheep a bit too much and for too long. It would be great if the troops that aren't conscripts could allow their sense of duty to override their whish to run to their mothers boobs a bit more often. I would also prefer to have trenches which aren't so shallow that the troops have to crouch down to be protected and where troops become exposed when they are walking or running in them. A "hyper realistic" battle simulator should preferably have somewhat hyper realistic trenches. It would also be great if the game editor could allow the scenario map makers to make better and greater environment simulators for the troops and vehicles to move around and fight in. I understand that some people who use the editor are more interested in making scenario maps than making a full scenario with AI-movements and adding troops. If the scenario maps could be looking a bit more beautiful and be more of a simulator of how forests, villages, towns and so on really look it would probably be more fun for some people to make scenario maps while other people could have fun while they focus on the troops and battle-AI.
  21. One way in which this behaviour of the AI could be bad is probably when the mortar teams might run out of ammo too early because those who carry ammo are running wild several hundred meters away or maybe in the situation when FOs can't request mortar fire because the only officer with a radio is too far away to tell the mortar team where to shoot.
