    The most detailed model is fine, the next lod is fine, but lod_4 has the turret name object01. I changed it to turret, it works now. You only spot that bug in huge missions like Czechmate because the game will ramp down the detail and use low detail models on maps like this.

    doing a bit of exploring, you can change attachment points using similar text editing, I just changed the canteen attachment point on the smod_american_greatcoat.mds
    from
    ....american_canteen*.bip01 pelvis (* = 12 char 0C)
    to
    ....american_canteen*.bip01 spine (* = 11 char 0B)
    This worked fine and looks better actually. The location of the canteen is moved slighlty, but now it is attached to the spine and not the pelvis so it stays rigidly attached to the belt on the greatcoat texture... when on the pelvis it moved around quite a bit depending on stance and animations...

    Noticed a bug while editing uniforms. On the american greatcoat model, soldier equipped with SMG has their SMG ammo pouches inverted. On the normal US Para model (smod_american_m42-para.mds), the orientation is correct. So I compared the data chucks and on a hunch copied a sequence of bytes which had no similarity between the two models, moving it from the para model to the greatcoat model.
    This restored the correct rotation of the SMG ammo on the greatcoat model.

    A selection of snow-covered flavor objects for CM:FB.
    Includes: Petrol Pump, Post Box, Barrels, Water Pumps, Wood Piles, Tires, Some Sacks (from Santa!), Fuel Drums.
    I was able to duplicate models for barrels and drums, but use a different texture if they are sideways or upright.  This way they look nice with snow added, but it means I had to include the non-snow versions of these too otherwise it all gets messed up.
    They may work OK in other titles too but I haven't tested them there.

    suppression of infantry (or wounding) in front of friendly tanks and IFVs when they fire their main gun. This is exactly the kind of thing real world soldiers and vehicles have to worry about, but is ignored by CM despite it having systems to replicate its effects.

    Description:
     
    Three maps in Estonia one in Latvia.
    All the maps in this mini pack are based on google earth satellite images, photos and also street view when available, not historical maps. So obviously these locations were not identical during ww2. I however tried to downgrade the type of roads when I thought it made sense, on rare occasions removed a couple of houses or farms here and there but for the most part they're as accurate as I could make them.
    Some have attack or meeting engagement setups, some are raw (no deployment zones or objectives). The latter will require a little bit of work to be playable.
    I tried as much as possible to frame the maps so they're versatile and can be used in various ways: both for meeting engagements and attacks. But there are also usually several possible setups that you could use i.e different directions for the attack with potential objectives and road in all cardinal directions. There is often not just one single way to play them.
    It should be noted that most of these maps, except Talvikese which is fairly open with rural terrain, are basically dirt roads going through forests, marshy ground and lakes. So it can be very easy if played as attacks or assaults to block the roads with anti tank mines depending on the deployment zones. So you could just have infantry battles, have an agreement with your opponent to limit the usage of mines or even modify the terrain a little bit by replacing marshy ground with mud or something else where needed. Or just play them as is. It is up to you.
    Feel free to use them for whatever you want. Simply credit me and provide a link to this thread.

    Includes both a raw map and a version with a red attack setup. The map with the attack setup is slightly cropped on the northern edge for gameplay reasons so I decided to also include the original one.

    I'm away and bam there's something new!!
    Here is a quick mod to "Normize" the Schimwagen
    I painted the propeller, it was always painted and not metal color
    i put blackout on the headlights and a little mud!!!
    The camouflage could be better but the unit arrives from the Russian front and only had 2 hours to paint knowing that they did not sleep....

    Well over 2 years now since the last CMFB patch. The high explosive bug took about 18 months to patch.

    Nice that they fixed the T-90s but

    Gil still broke, even worse, the hotfix I made for it doesn't work anymore 😪.
    They changed it from firing out at the angle of the launcher, to a totally horizontal launch now, then it falls into the same ground-skimming obstacle-seeking flight profile.
