Still working on this map and testing things out. Yes the tool is excellent. Takes a while to make adjustments on all of the terrain, buildings, and flavor objects though. Also I wish 18+ square KM maps didn't crash out of memory on my system after testing against the AI for a bunch of turns. I am really liking this opelkadet mod.

I retried the elevation generation and had no problems with the bottom shifting. Maybe I know why the bottom portion of the map shifted left on the first map. I left out a particular xyz zone that was outside the area I was working on but in the same row as other areas in the map. Perhaps that missing zone caused a shift among the others.

Yes it works brilliantly. I just produced a huge 6400x2576 map and it is gorgeous. I will need to go in and edit the buildings, fences and hedges, flavor objects, and many other details, but the basic map does get generated saving massive amounts of work. It took about 4 hours to render the elevation and about 10 hours to render the rest over night. The only issue is maybe my xyz data was corrupted because the bottom of the generated map did not match the rest of the map and I had to trim it off by about 350 meters. I will re-download the xyz data and try it again. I would post a photo but forum says I have no space. Excellent tool.

Hello Butschi, I got as far as trying to generate the elevation map, following your excellent tutorials. But it seems my extra huge map crashes dgm2cm. The process during the crash shows TypeError: unsupported operand type...

Thanks Butschi! Iche sprechen kein Deutsch, I'm afraid. So far I have gotten as far as generating the rendered street map with objects. But for me the software Release does not launch. I get a big blue Windows message saying "Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting" and no option to run it using Windows 11.

Do you know how to get the geodata for the area south of Cottbus? Brandenburg state? Spree-Neiße district?

Making huge quality maps is really difficult and time consuming. Hopefully this tool along with hexed.it (thanks Artkin) make the process much easier.
