  1. But no, seriously, I just don't think they've got that sort of logic for smoke rounds built into the system. Would be cool though!
  2. You can't fire WP into a building! Somebody might get hurt!
  3. Is La Fiere causeway in one of the CMBN campaigns? Or is there a good user-created campaign or scenario? Just watched the recent PBS documentary Seize and Secure and it put me in mind to try the CMBN version!
  4. It turned out to be the scaling! It was set to 125%. When I set it back to 100%, the game was nice a sharp. Thanks for the answer! Best, AbM
  5. Someone should really take up the mantle and get bayonet strength back up. I mean, not me. I'm very busy!
  6. Hi all! Finally got my gaming PC back up and running after being on a Mac laptop for a while. I installed CMBN 4.02 and activated but I can't set the resolution to 1440p, and if I choose Desktop it's all messed up looking. Specs: GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU Ryzen R7 2700X CPU 16GB RAM Asus X470 motherboard etc etc I'm sure there's a solution but my initial forum search didn't turn up anything. Thanks in advance! Best, AbM
  7. Finding random stuff on the internet based on vague recollection is my superpower. =) Glad I could help! Best, AbM

  9. I know it's too late, but I have two of those specific Dell's and they are fine for CM. 😃 Welcome back Erwin!
  10. Everything is running good on my MacBook Pro. I've got CMBN, CMFI, CMRT, CMBS, CMFB, and CMSF2 on here all updated.
  11. CMBN is running as 4.01 on my 2013 MacBook Pro. The changes/resolution already reported are clearly in evidence. BAR men seem to be dropping the hammer in a more sensible fashion and my first mortar attacks on defending Germans in foxholes have seen them hunkering down instead of making a run for it. Seems to have done the trick so far! If I find anything to complain about... well, you know me. 😃 But Steve and crew have my hundreds of dollars and can expect more for each expansion, so I imagine my complaints won't be TOO hurtful! 😃 ~AbM
  12. Downloading on my Mac now. Will play this evening and report back. Very exciting! I've had enough Tom Clancy's The Division 2, which is frankly abusing the name of a dead man.
  13. Got it. Steve needs to move to Ukraine. You're making a lot of sense!
  14. I guess the analogy is, now the Shelby Cobra is in the shop and they are waiting on a part. 😃
  15. I was going to say just go straight to VASSAL modules for ASL.
  16. The delay has given me a chance to catch up in other areas of my life. I have two kids it turns out! Who knew??
  17. Whatever OLD MAN, I might have been born in the 70s but I grew up in the 80s!
  18. What better time than to establish with your new bride that she has married both HerrTom and Combat Mission and should expect that between 10 and 40 hours per week will be dedicated to small unit actions?
  19. I recently happened across my copy of PanzerBlitz when reorganizing my games. Your avatar just reminded me. I found some supplemental counters in the box I made out of index card stock and very shaky 12 year old penmanship. An assault bridge or something from a General article or book I must have found in the library as a youth. =D
  20. Walter Seifert's "Waffen-Arsenal" book on the 251 gives the range of the 251/16 as 35m with both 14mm flamethrowers firing.
  21. The Osprey book on the Flammpanzers does mention a StuG-based one that used a different flamethrower system. They only made a handful of them and stopped because they kept setting themselves on fire!
  22. Ah, according to the Osprey book, when firing BOTH 14mm projectors at the same time on the SdKfz 251/16, the effective range of the pair was reduced. That may be where the shorter range is coming from?
  23. Tank encyclopedia has many of the same photos as the Osprey book. http://www.tanks-encyclopedia.com/ww2-germany-panzer-iii-flamm/
  24. According to the Osprey New Vanguard book on Flammpanzer, German Flamethrower Vehicles 1941-1945, the SdKfz 251/16, Panzer III, and Hetzer flame vehicles all used the 14mm Flammanlage Bauart Koebe (or Koebe-Gerat) flamethrower system. It had a max range in all applications of about 60m for burning fuel, and 50m for unlit fuel. Early versions of the SdKfz 251/16 had a 7mm handheld projector tied into the same system but that could be used "dismounted" by trailing a hose. It had a shorter range. The book has a lot of info on the topic and includes combat reports, design history, etc. As far as Osprey books go, it's a good one!
