  1. @Thewood1 . . . you've highlighted the fact that my memory is not 5 by 5. As a MacOS guy, running CMBO became more difficult after the switch to Intel but even that still isn't quite 20 years.
  2. I'm trying to make sense of what the Console is feeding me in terms of error messages at time of CMFB launch . . . At the moment all I can associate with trying to open CMFB is: “LAUNCH: Timed-out waiting for launch of application 0x0-0x983983.”
  3. Same here on M1 MacBook Air running OS 14.1.1 (23B81) Looks like I'll be waiting a bit longer to finally field an M26 in CM.
  4. Raise your hand . . . if you've genuinely been waiting two decades to field a M26 Pershing in Combat Mission!!!
  5. Ahoy, I have something like 19 orders on the BF website going back to 2011. When I get a new computer I've always been able to re-download via the battlefront.sharefile.com XXX links provided and still shown on my orders. However for the past week I've been unable to get any BG sharefile links to get past the "rotating 4 section circle" animation? No link I try ever connects? Is there a new way to access the game downloads? Or are there technical issues? I have downloaded before on this Mac M1 laptop with this browser & settings. Thanks all,
  6. 9 years later . . . does this have a fix (under newest v2.11)? Picking Allied attacker on "attack" QB map that ships with game results in defending axis all clumped at back edge / corner? You set everything up, meticulously proceed turn by turn across the map without resistance, and an hour later you realize defender setup is, well, not setup at all?
  7. Is it me or is it not possible to get US cluster arty in QB's
  8. Will it be technically possible for modders to add the "popcorn" to the Dragon flight animation / audio?
  9. ... just fired my first Dragon at an unlucky T-62. . . . sadly no "popcorn" is this something that could be "modded"?
  10. Ha! I woke up at 3am, checked my email, jumped up and started the download. But hadn't checked YouTube yet (it's 4:15 am now). I hope @Hapless knows how much we love this content!
  11. ... and I'm sure @Hapless has a few video exposés under way already? [crosses fingers]
  12. Thanks guys, appreciate what should have been more obvious to me as a solution. And keep up the good work and the content coming @Hapless. I hope you enjoy producing these vids because many folks really enjoy following your channel and look forward to the next one. It clearly takes planning, time, and work to make such quality content - so thanks for that.
  13. I'm on MacOS Big Sur and when you run the "activate" script (which seems to be badly bugged graphically but does work) you get a purple box that says "Total Destruction".
  14. Minor typo in mission briefing for "The Rites of Spring" battle. "... were choked were choked with mud,"
  15. Here's what's likely a very "buck private" level question: How does one in CM:SF2 (with Marines module) get to access the Rahadnak Valley Map in quick battles? I note that @Hapless made good use of Rahadnak Valley in his latest must-watch episode of Combat Mission TV on "skill" levels.
  16. OK I've finished the book on kindle in one day* but CMCW is still not out. Now what? *(a great read and story minus the ridiculous number of big typos)
  17. When it comes to Rosetta the operative phrase for sure is, "we will see"
  18. Is this the end of CM on Mac? // Apple moving to ARM https://www.theverge.com/2020/6/22/21295475/apple-mac-processors-arm-silicon-chips-wwdc-2020
  19. Thanks for the efforts, @Ultradave. They sent what, 11 Elephants to the whole theatre for one beachhead battle? We are here for the CM accurate portrayal and realism - even if folks like me try to turn QB's into some kind of "world of tanks" "Kursk of the south" under the Italian sun!
  20. Actually, RTFM! But the *right* manual. GL manual states for Elefant "Available beginning... February 1944". Hmmm, this requires more testing but I'm not sure this is true in QB? EDIT - update: Yes, for QB's the Elefant is "available beginning Feb 1944" but only through June 1944.
  21. Cherry picking specific vehicles in non-historic QB's is all part of the BF CM fun. Do we know if there is a list of TO&E vehicles and dates available? Trying to "find" the right date to get a German 'Elefant' in a QB is painful. There's got to be a spreadsheet somewhere, yah?
  22. Aloha! Anyone finding all kinds of vehicles are invisible (pixel-troopen tankers floating in air) in QB's? Hellcats Sherman 76's Priests Sherman 105's etc Solutions to this? I have all the CMFI licenses - MAC OS Thanks
