  1. Ah alright then, was just making sure it wasn't something I did wrong. Of course I know this wouldn't work against a competent player, and I was surprised that the AI kept so many forces in Lorraine as I force marched my way to Paris. France has surrendered in November 1915 and Russia is down to 25 morale after I've taken Poland, so this should be quick.
  2. At least without Breakthrough expansion it doesn't. Is it intended that conquering tons of northern France including Paris in 1914 and then continuing to take cities into 1915 leaves the French still in the fight with 45 NM? I thought they would've surrendered after Paris was taken and their entire army outflanked. The screenshot is winter of 1914. Since then I took out that 2 village pocket, Brittany, and Reims in addition to killing the armies trying to retake Paris.
  3. I'll play a game with you, but I've never played multiplayer with a non newb before. SC 1 is the best SC. 74 views and only one reply? C'mon.
  4. I guess they are okay at this role, all they can do is scout 2 or 3 tiles away. I did use them a bit to do 2 damage points in total during a fight with the German navy near the Belgian coast. The German navy seems a bit suicidal by the way, they charge their navy in at my giant fleet in the channel (they can't see it of course, they're spread through the ports of northern France and southern England) the second I do a coastal bombardment of a corp in Belgium.
  5. I buy most of my games from Gamersgate. Before now they only had Strategic Command European Theater which I already have the cd of. Now I looked again to see if they had any because I found out I can't download my SC Pacific theater or SC2 (lost the main game cd) I bought a few years ago, and also I have been wanting to buy SC WW1 and Global Conflict (both of which I haven't bought because I didn't want to buy the download version, and I don't like cd's and waiting for things in the mail). Now you've added all of your main games but World War 1, but I can't buy them as you haven't added the expansions! http://se.gamersgate.com/games?prio=relevance&q=strategic%20command I would like to buy Global Conflict and WW1 with expansions if they were ever added. So will WW1 and the expansions for the games be added later on or what? Also, strange how the Pacific one has been priced at 45 when the others have been priced more sensibly, and Pacific is the least polished and arguably the worst. (Still wish I could download it)
  6. I could deal with tiles or rhombi, so long as the view isn't this hideous isometric one. I want to be able to see stuff non distorted and to have a top down view of everything.
  7. What are the seaplane carriers good for anyway? Always seem like a waste of money to me, since they can barely do damage and aren't good value for the MPP you spend from the events to get them.
  8. Hexes look a million times better. I still think Strategic Command 1 was the absolute best looking SC game. In addition, the isometric view is hideous and often contributes to map distortions.
  9. I do care for alternate campaigns, just not enough to pay extra money for them. So all in all, I should wait for AoD as it will have a bigger global map and will continue to be balanced, while presumably the Gold expansion will not be receiving as many patches. I want the most complex game possible, and the best engine one. That being said, is there any reason to get the Gold expansion while I wait for AoD to come out?
  10. With the two new things coming out, I want to know if I should buy AoC, AoD, or Gold expansion for Global Conflict. I don't really care about the alternate scenarios, I just want to play the best version of the global campaign from 1939 possible. Which one should I get in this case?
