Pleased you liked my stuff (Victory at Verdenne and Probing Around Poteau) but they wouldn't have been what they are without the input of the guys on the testing team. While I don't disagree about the limited number of ways to win The Trouble With Siegfried, which I helped test, I think you have to take this scenario for what it is - a nice atmospheric little scenario designed to be played in a short session. If you look at it through that prism, it does the job.
With regard to the other three on your worst list, I can't comment on them in detail as I didn't get round to testing those but I do know that the author did a considerable amount of research on those actions and, because of their size, was constrained by the number of AI slots and was constrained by the BFC requirement for official scenarios to make them playable as Allied, Axis and H2H.
Anyway - thanks for the positive feedback on my scenarios, I guess I'm better at this than I thought I was.

But why not, if it turns out to be the best game you´ve ever purchased?

I have bought scores of games during the last couple of decades - and CMBN was surely the most expensive single purchase. But most of the cheap games I´ve bought were probably cheap because nobody wanted to pay full price for them. So in some cases I have paid 10 $ for a game I have scrapped after two hours. 10 $ might be cheap for a game - but is 5 $ an hour cheap?

The 60 $ I paid  for CMBN has given me thousands of hours worth of enjoyable gameplay for the past seven years. So in terms of cent pr. hour it is the cheapest game I ever bought.

It sure is funny how most of the people who complain about price and why is the games not on sale for bargain prices are people who have a handful of comments on the site and are recent new members.
In other wards I see them as typical gamers expecting the same thing they see with most of the rest of the industry. Expecting to get something for almost nothing after a short life span of the product , with a newer version out and selling again for that company.
They have never played any game for any extended period of time and are just waiting for the next thing on the market that they can consume.
The concept of a game with depth and years of endless playability is not a possibility in their thought process. Let alone a fact that the company is not capable of putting out new versions in a year or two with staffs in the hundreds to do such things. A product with only a handful of guys working on and making adjustments to and no ability to try and push the graphic limits of the present home computer each and every year.
They see it as a unknown logic in the world that they live in and cannot accept it.
I find it funny. BF is two guys that came from that world and hated it, created their own way to run and manage their game and have done what they wanted and made the life they wanted for themselves and provided us with games no one in the all powerful industry want to do.
So Bf keep selling and doing business how you want. I appreciate the games too much to care about sales and how they do business.

@Josey Wales is the expert on this stuff.  My understanding, mostly based on tests by Josey Wales, is the following:
Fatigue has no effect on a unit’s accuracy or on its morale state regardless if the current morale state is a result from either Combat Stress or Combat Shock or a combination of both.  Fatigue will only affect your movement options:
    Tired troops cannot Fast Move.
Fatigued troops cannot Fast, Assault or Hunt Move.
Exhausted troops cannot Fast, Assault, Hunt or Quick Move.

Question - If the unit settings and clock were changed would it change your opinion of the worst battles?
Both are easily done in the editor if you so choose.  2 of the 4 that seems to be an option.  Highly recommend tailoring a scenario to suit yourself. Hey you paid for it, you earned the right.

zinzan reacted to Vergeltungswaffe in Is there a CM that covers operation Barbarossa?
Just so you know, the Eastern Front family will will cover Oct 44 through the end of the war in it's next module, but BFC has said in the past that they plan to eventually get around to modules that cover everything from 41 on.  Hopefully, that will come to fruition over time.
In fact, MOS:96B2P just quoted Steve from BFC in 2013 in the Roadmap thread in this subforum:
The Base Game establishes the start time and the theater. For Red Thunder we're going to start June 1944 and go through to May 1945.
The Eastern Front Families are basically divided up this way:
    #1 = June 1944 - May 1945 Red Thunder
    #2 = June 1943 - May 1944
    #3 = June 1942 - May 1943
    #4 = June 1941 - May 1942

"fix" for alt tab on both PC and Mac = have a browser window or some other window, like a folder minimized in the background before you start the game, then you can alt tab.
if not, on pc, i usually use ctrl-alt-del to get a window up so i can alt tab

Question about Wooden areas and artillery, what is best, Personal  or General shells - to kill dismounted or soft targets - how much do wodds protect?

Any charts of ammo damage, range etc for cmsf?

In CMBN it seems to be weak against everything. My pet peeve is the nearly indestructible hedgerows, which you won't have to worry about in CMFB
The effectiveness of artillery against troops in the open has also been dialled down, some say it's to balance things since the game has troops bunching up more than in real life.
I even have a savegame showing 150mm artillery airburst directly above two scouts. Result: One of them was lightly wounded. They were my own scouts, but still I thought it was a bit odd...

Take all the time you need as far as i'm concerned. I would also speak, if only for myself, that I would be willing to stomach higher prices for your games.
If any member of the team is not making enough money to support a comfortable life then as far as i'm concerned you all should be.

A year and a half later, and I've finally upgraded to v.4. And this campaign is my first port of call. "Gold Beach" was a great mission, bunkers to bust, walls and buildings to knock down aplenty. I loved it. Although the Germans did throw in the towel before I could destroy the church.

Ha! I was wondering how long it would take those 60 seconds to pop up as an example of how not to do things.
My own fault entirely for not covering the basics- one scout team out on that flank and I would have heard it coming and not been caught with my pants down.
But that's combat mission: make mistakes, get punished. The trick is learning from it. You can be damn sure that's never gonna happen to me again.

Yes, the charm with CM, "live and learn", or "die and learn".
"Fail again, fail better" is sort of a motto for me. Only way to improve your game, especially when taking on human oppos in scenarios never played before.

Meeting Engagements in CM are frequently a problem - rushing to grab the centre is neither particularly authentic, nor particularly satisfying - attack/defend scenarios are often a little better.

The more interesting meeting engagement setups tend to have distinct "mine" and "yours" objectives - both sides then have to consider their attack and their defence, which produces something much more reasonable.

    MY CONCLUSION
I think I did not study enough the terrain. Okay fair, I have lost some time at the beginning of the scenario doing some scouting while approaching the village through the woods. But, even with this time lost, my mistake was to attack from the woods directly in his kill zone. The second avenue of approach with the little hollow would perhaps have been a better approach. I do not know what you guys think.
With @JoMc67, we will play the same scenario but with me taking the Canadians while he takes the Germans. This will be interesting for learning.
