  1. It's a problem with AMD cards, I also had it (and some more) with my RX 6700. I didn't find a solution to it, sorry.
  2. Whether you like it or not, it's not only up to BF to resolve that problem. Clearly it's not high on priorities list in AMD and my guess is it never will. It's common knowledge that AMDs GUI have issues with lots of games and if you're a gamer, you should simply avoid these cards. I made a mistake of buying one over 2 years ago and almost immediately i had issues with some games, not only CM. I got fed up with it, sold it and recently bought RTX. So far, no problems with CM and everything else.
  3. Matrix/Slitherine is running another week long sale for CM Games - 50% off for most of the titles. Heard somewhere that the last one was really succesful.
  4. Well, apparently AMD cards have issues with movie lightning, it doesn't work with them. Also had other problems such as texture glitches, weird, black wires coming out of pixeltruppen, flashbang effect... so yeah, if you want to play CM games, do not buy AMD card. I got fed up with it and just installed RTX 4070 and for starters, movie lightning works. Hope everything else will be fine now.
  5. Great sale, picked up Red Thunder Complete. I had unused coupon from Slitherine so on top of 50% i got another 28% off, cool
  6. Unfortunally not all games on Steam can be family shared. I had the same issue with CMSF 2 and CMBS using my two different Steam accounts on the same PC. On account with the game it ran fine but it wouldn't on the one i shared to. So my guess is CM games can't use family sharing and Slitherine support is the place to ask about it. I haven't done it yet.
  7. I highly doubt that mods have anything to do with flashing. He didn't say what gpu drivers he's using. I also checked Black Sea (Slitherine but non-Steam version) and it's flashing too. We need to wait for AMD to fix this, hopefuly soon.
  8. I'd really love to see a CM game on an engine like Mius Front. Buttery smooth, huge maps and great level of detail.
  9. There is no limitations, you can use your activation code from whenever you bought the game. If it doesn't work, open a ticket at Battlefront and they will help you. They helped me within a couple of hours:)
  10. I have a Steam version and with no mods there are flashes.
  11. Thank you very much! And KCD is one of the best games i've ever played, truly one of a kind:)
  12. 1. If you bought CMBN from Battlefront than you check your serial no. from your order at Battlefront. 2. This serial no. is used for registering a game on your Slitherine/Matrix account (picture 1 and 2) 3. After registering the game, you'll be able to redeem a Steam key (picture 3). Hope it helps:)
  13. Yes, screenshot is also a good idea, will try it out. Just made this combo with CMx1
  14. I meant the picture on a steelbook physical copy of CMBN. Thank you GeorgeMC:)
  15. Does anyone by any chance have a good quality picture of CMBN steelbook art? I can't find one anywhere... I'd like to make it a box art in my Steam library since the one from Slitherine is rather awful.
  16. Just like in topic, movie lighting doesn't work for me, nothing is changing. I have an AMD card and latest drivers (also with flashbang effect...), is that the reason?
  17. Very happy to see another CM game on Steam! So i'am guessing that WWII parts will also make there:)
  18. Got mine keys today for base game and Marines and NATO modules. Also just bought the missing British one with 30% discount, so now i have the whole package. It's very convinient to have everything in one place. For me Steam is that place. Hope to see every other CM title on Steam soon!
  19. That's a fantastic news! I hope we get all of CM games on Steam one day. My guess is Slitherine is going to do the heavy lifting on Steam forum. Although I agree that's a really toxic place which i completely avoid.
  20. Yesterday i wrote to BFC support if i could upgrade my Paradox boxed copy of CMSF 1 to CMSF 2. Problem was i purchased it years ago so i don't have any proof of purchase anymore. But I also bought two modules directly from BFC. I provided order no. of those purchases and today i received a new licence no. for CMSF 1. BFC assumed that since i bought two modules, i must have also purchased the base game, even if there's no way to verify that. That is what i call an exemplary customer support. Thank you! Now, off to the store to get me a CMSF 2
  21. I'll remain an optimist. IMHO current technology/various game engines are able to make CM game much more than they are today. The only issue is money and manpower. Maybe BF will try crowdfunding someday. Lot's of fantastic games were made thanks to Kickstarter in recent years. Most of them propably wouldn't be made otherwise since they represent niche genres (like Battletech and Pillars of Eternity I and II just to name a few). Battlefront is a well known company in wargaming community with great reputation. I have no doubt they'd able to collect at least few hundred thousand dollars for their new engine/CM project.
  22. Ok, thanks everyone for replies. It's good enough for me that there are some plans, even if it means it's going to be a very long run!
  23. If the matter was already discussed, sorry for littering the forum. I did try to find a similar topic or a response from BF but couldn't find anything. Does BF consider moving to a completely new game engine, either using an already existing one from another company or creating a new one from scratch? If so, has any research been done by BF in this area? Obviously i'am a fan of CM games, otherwise i wouldn't bother asking. I support BF as much as i can, i know that BF is a very small, even tiny company, doing everything on their own and staying fully independent but i also have the feeling that the franchise came up againts a brick wall (hope i used that idiom right...). From my point of view, the game engine has run it's course and nothing more major can be achived using it. And i'am not talking about the graphics or animations but about the AI, lack of dynamic campaign system or having more control over units (like ability to attack more than one target without having to move). I really would like to see the CM games evolve. The engine upgrades are obviously a welcome adition but i see them as minor changes, although i i'am fully aware that you're putting many hours of work to make them. And that's another issue. Being such a small company means that everything take so much time to make (like planned modules for FI, RT and FB or even patches) but obviously, that's not your fault. So to sum up, does BF have plans for making CM something bigger than we have today or should we expect to receive more of the same in the comming years? Please don't take this post as a critique, cause it's not. I'll further support BF within my abilities.
  24. New site is very nice. Most of all i'am glad i can actually open it I was always blocked from your last one (i guess my wi-fi was the reason). Now waiting for Shock Force 2. Day 1 purchase for me!
