  1. Thanks, it works. Please could you tell which is the end date of the scenario ? Further, Korea & Manchuria have no roads nor railways, is it intentional ? Should they stay "neutral" ? Anyway the map looks good and this "what if" scen. is quite interesting all the more it was likely to happen but only if the Manhattan plan failed. This could be a variant with no A bombs launched and no influence on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
  2. Is it for Gold or not Gold ? Anyway it crashes. Note that the beginning and end dates are the same. Maybe it's the reason.
  3. Tips: - direct the bulk of your tanks, mobile units, planes towards Stalingrad with Mainstein and Guderian at the commands - take Stalingrad first then switch the mass of your units towards Moscow and a small to Bakou which is not well defended. - when only Leningrad is the only objective in Russian hands the game is virtually finished. On the scenario: Since the beginning the Russians should have at least two "normal" tank groups at disposal ( 1/10 of their tanks on June 41 were T-34, KV-1, KV-2 ) and the capacity to produce them at that time. There is no reason not to give Russians level 1 in infantry warfare ( they were as well equipped as Germans at that time ), the only difference was their bad commanders on the field. Many infantry units should be added in the production queue; from June to December for instance Russians mobilized. Add periods of rain in summer 41 ( historical ), this to slow down the German advance taking into account the very bad state of the roads, all earth roads, except the Minsk-Smolenks-Moscow one. Remember that all included on June 22 Germans had only about 3 000 planes on the front i.e; 1/3 fighters and 2/3 bombers with about 300 Stukas. A light tank could be added to Romania on June 41. For all scenarios: Romania and Bulgaria surrendered and switched to USSR on august 44. On the map: Vizama should read Viazma. Good news: with patch 1.02 the AI seems to be better; thanks for the effort. May I suggest to also add ( after Bagration ) a scenario beginning on January 45 to depict the last big offensives of USSR towards Berlin; it seems to be reasonable this one would last till August 45.
  4. I have a BtoB game in progress; the Italian MPP appear late November 41 together with the entry of Western Allies at 16 MPP/turn. 5. The good thing here is that at least some people do become aware that there is a prob with these add-ons; is the AI better: I don't think so; are there new units; no, some which could be were already in the free mods; in summary, where is the work for which we customers have to pay? - in conclusion, all of this is "easy money" to get from people the conceptors not care about. ( The Franco Prussian war which is free is far more interesting ) As far as the language barrier is concerned it's on your side guys.
  6. No need to be insolent, you so-called "Panzer General"; everybody with a bit of sense in mind well knows that these add ons are a kind of fraud; and fraud is punished by law in every country I think.
  7. "The best part of these games are the player MODS that eventually come out. Yes the game as is, is truly 95% size wise useless. However once some of the superb player mods come out the map become 90% very relevant and enjoyable." ... this is true; however is it the job of the modders to develop the game ? ... for the rest, this time I'm fed up. Démerdez-vous !
  8. This concerns both AoC and AoD. AoC: Briefly speaking it's a matter of very weak AI and of balance between German and Russian sides due I think to a lack of skill concerning the story of the Eastern Front. Second, SC is a strategic game and not really interesting with operational scenarios; AoC has only operational scenarios which further don't take into account the "other fronts". The concept of key cities is not accurate I think; against Russia there was no " key city", it was a battle to death. Tell me where are new units, new sprites ? In summary all of this is more or less like the anterior numerous so called Gold or Add_on versions. The same applies more or less to AoD. Concerning AoD, who cares to have a "giant" map when 95% is useless ? Consequently I"m asking for my 50$ back, in exchange I'll send you back the downloaded files.
  9. I forgot: when by the hell will we have a realistic map of France ?
  10. Cantona, my prob is solved. I only had to delete the ' - ' at the end of the campaign title in the campaigns file. MonsterClaude I'll open a new thread on that question soon. By the way anyone could "transfer" the Neptune scenario in AoC or AoD ?
  11. By the way Crispy i'm not sure AoD is worth the buy , neither AoC indeed; i'm still wondering where is the "work" with a value of 50 bucks in both ?
  12. thanks Crispy but this #CUSTOM_BITMAPS= 1 #CUSTOM_INTERFACE= 1 #CUSTOM_SOUND= 1 #CUSTOM_LOCALIZATION= 1 is correct in the campaign file.
  13. Hi Cantona When launching the campaign I have the message: campaign.ini not found, no customization. And for instance Romania has Japanese units. Please help! ( the map has a great look; finer than in vanilla campaigns )
  14. Hello Bill & thanks for info. ( it's not very historical but this is another and how lengthy question); French attackers during execution of Plan XVII were decimated by German artillery and machine-guns; why all entrenched is also questionable; because the front became frozen or ... ? Indeed the first to entrenched were the Germans after the failure of Plan Schlieffen and it appears to be a way to save forces ( for Russian front ) while keeping the conquered terrain.
  15. Thanks for your kind answer; I"ll try the expert level, before any HvH esp with you
  16. Hi all when playing the first turns of Call to arms or the scen dedicated to the beginning of the war between France and Germany I found that attackers are overrated ( for instance a French corps inflicting 3 losses to a German corps ! ) at a time when in reality attackers of both sides were decimated by machine guns or artillery. On the other hand, the game above playing with Germans ( against AI, zero advantage to the defender) ended by a French defeat in august 1916, the main point being to take Paris with a consequent downfall of the French morale and "separate" French and English armies pushing towards Le Mans, La Rochelle, all of this being in part possible thanks to forced march which allows a kind of Blitzkrieg which is not accurate for this time.
  17. Thanks; I'm eager to try a WW2 scen with Breakthrough; have you any plan to make some others for instance beginning in 41 or 42 etc. ?
  18. First "Hi all", as it's my first message here. It seems that the .cgn file is missing here, as well as in the new 38 scen. Anyway thanks to the team & the modders for the overall good quality of the campaigns and scenarios in the different ( maybe too numerous ) versions of the game.
