  1. Hmm, lemme see. Modharaja, Ra the Sun Mod, or Moda hari maybe. I'll call him Mod Almighty if he can make those available. Been ages since I figured out I lost them somehow.
  2. Hot doggies, got me pre-order in a-okay. Now, we scour the horizon intently awaiting the first signs of movement...
  3. Er-ah.., this is not the very very soon. It is not even the beginning of the very soon. But it is, perhaps, the end of the soon.
  4. Ah, yes well it was a nasty affair all the way around alright. Got pretty ugly in the Pacific too. Fortunate we are, to enjoy simulating the panoply of war but unfortunately; "Only the dead have seen the end of war."― Plato Still, we can learn something every day. Now I was totally unaware of the Moroccan Goumiers history or the role they played in the North Africa. Chagrined, but appreciative of the links you provided Aragorn/Waycool. Very informative. Salute~
  5. Huh, those must be the 10th Bedu of Foot. Sir Lawrence's Own.
  6. Wow, beautiful work and very much appreciated.
  7. Thanks Lucky, I'm using BarbaricCo’s WMS V.112 on most of my CM's, and the color sat and hue on these models looks great on my old AOC. Indeed, very nicely done.
  8. I'd be in for a CM Pacific. New Guinea's Kokoda Track campaign offers some lush jungle mountain terrain; Philippines offers a wide variety of tactical terrain and rice paddies to urban fighting in Manila; Okinawa, Saipan come to mind. Yeah I could see me scarfing that up. Now if I had to choose between Barbarossa and the South Pacific we might have a problem. I hear Barbarossa calling my name. Can't get CMBB out of my head wondering how it would be in CMX2,X3. And then there's Afrika. Pretty much any of the three would get me all excited.
  9. Thanks JoMc, but it still won't register the 3 unique chars. I tried all of them, multiple times. If I'm logged into this forum, and click on the helpdesk at the BF site, I get in. And I can log a new ticket. But to check my tickets, it wants another login using my email address. That's where it fails and won't allow me to set a new pw. I've used every key on the board. If I'm not logged into this forum and just go to the BF site helpdesk link, I can't log into the helpdesk period.
  10. Thanks Ian, that was it. Soon as they got my email, BF was on it. Great customer svc. They have already resolved the issue. But pardon me for asking yet another question I can't find a solution for. This gets a tad weird. After your response, I logged into the helpdesk with no issue or at least I thought so. Today upon trying, it won't allow me in. I've used the reset password (which provides a one time key entry), but it won't allow me to change to a new password and won't accept the one from yesterday. The gizmo indicates I have the required 8 chars, but not the 3 unique chars. I've tried numbers, upper case numbers, upper case letters, lower case numbers/letters, and nothing turns the 3 unique chars requirement to green? Feeling a little bit Yamamoto here... What exactly is the little puter thinking a "unique" character is?
  11. I've recently begun to catch up on all my BF WWII titles. BF offers some nice bundles of the latest V4 Engine games and the add-ons, making for a neat collection bound together of all their wonderful work. For CMBN and CMFB, I asked for the d/l, and mailing of the CD. Each arrived in a timely fashion w/o issue. Until I ordered the CMFI bundle. I got the d/l email confirmation fine, but no CD was ever delivered. Yes I down loaded it. Snail mail however, not so much. We're a long time and a galaxy away from the days of "neither sleet, nor rain, nor snow...". My electric bill to the next state takes about ten days to get there, give or take. So I waited. Ten days in I sent an email to sales@battlefront.com. And waited. Sent another email to BF about five days after that. I appreciate they are a small company. It is entirely the reason I decided to reward them and myself and cough up three bundle purchases when I already had the older versions with patches and upgrades and multiple files stored hither and thither. I just wanted to get the self install/latest, greatest, and with all the frills to hang onto in CD form as well as the d/l install. Does BF normally not respond to emails to the sales address? I do not see anywhere listed what the actual means is of notification of a non-delivery for a CD. But figured logically it would be the sales address where they do state issues with the product order (such as someone ordered the wrong thing or wants to change the order), are to be addressed to sales. It would not be entirely unusual for the CD to turn up at some point but over two weeks in it's looking doubtful. It's of minimal cost I think. Seems the price of the CD itself is like 4 bucks for postage. But that's not the point. Of more concern is no response to any email to their sales address has been received. Though it's possible, I rather doubt I'm the first person to not receive an ordered CD. Anyone have experience with this and how was it resolved if so? Appreciate the input.
  12. Oh thank goodness Erwin. I appreciate that very much. I've been attempting to round up all the mods out there for BN, RT, and FI. Finding that a bit more challenging than I originally suspected. Seems the old CMMODS site requires some clever though not complicated thought in searching the right key word before the desired mods pop out, and the excellent CMMODS IV site does not as yet have all the goodies on display. Worse, most all the older forum links for eye candy are of course out of date, save for those Cloud folders. Ugg, what a mess. Still perseverance has paid off and I've managed to find most of what I wanted or needed. Yap, yap, yap... Anyway, thanks guys for helping me out. And yes, Verge that is a good thread. I'm using a bunch of BS stuff for RT. It's just that some of the newer buildings stuff for BS has more modern architectural features not so good for 1940's RT, but the BS terrain is outstanding for the WWII era.
  13. Just finished reading the "Using Listening Halts". Thanks Bil, very well presented and gives some great tips.
  14. Ruh roh, I'm only now getting around to trying FB. Went out and snatched up all the pretty mods I could find. Gonna do the install tonight and kick the tires, she what's she got. I find the RT, BN, FI, AI a pretty decent opponent most times. I guess I'm in for a learning curve here with FB.
  15. Thanks Vergeltungswaffe, it's close but unfortunately while Kieme used many of the original CMRT modular building textures to do the CMBS modular he also updated them with more modern aspects that don't fit in well with the RT era. Not sure about the file structure either since I don't have/use CMBS. The issue is the 12 bmp files I'm missing from slot 12 of his CMRT modular building add-on mod which causes my 10, 11, 12, slot modular to show up mismatched just as in the pic Macisle posted. In that discussion it is said one missing texture in one slot will cause the game to ignore all of them but mine show up. Perhaps a result of Engine 4 V2? It's not really that terrible looking. A casual user might not even notice the differences in texture match, but now that I know mine doesn't show as intended it'll keep gnawing at me. Appreciate the linkage, turns out page 23 of that thread has a trove of Kieme's BS mods. Many of which I'm using in RT.
  16. I just discovered that the file for "Kieme_s_Modular_Buildings_Add_On_Pack.rar" at Green as Jade's is corrupt and missing a dozen modular 12 .bmp files from slot 12. And I don't see the file available at "the few good men" site either. All of my archive files (3), have the same issue of a bad check sum and using 7-Zip or WinRAR only produces seven .bmp files for building slot 12. In the More than 8 modular building textures not working consistently thread, Macisle posted a screen pic of that modular building 12 slot showing the full 19 .bmp files. All of my copies of Kieme's Modular Building add-on pack downloaded over time are corrupt. In the linked discussion with Macisle, it is noted that if one of the Kieme's modular .bmp files is missing or corrupt, then the game engine will ignore all of them. I'm not certain if that was meant as all of the modular buildings (ex. slots 10, 11, and 12), or if in this case it would translate to just modular slot 12 with (19 .bmp's) that would be ignored. So perhaps I've never even see the end product. Yeah, I know... If it ain't broke don't fix it does come to mind. Never the less, I would appreciate anyone's assistance getting a working copy of that archive file.
  17. Wow, looking at all these screenies of RT glory got me to do some more tweaking of my color, gamma, and saturation profiles. To fully enjoy the great work of our talented modders one must tinker with a host of various monitor, graphics card, and post processor frag settings, all of which impact each other... At first I wanted to pull my hair out but focusing on the skin or flesh tone color as a visual base made it a bit easier. So I started there. Still tinkering with the Nvidia digital vibrance and gamma settings as I'm using a base RGB icm setting on the old AOC 2560 monitor. It has a rep for being a bit washed out in color display. Anyway, I think I may have finally gotten to a point of being satisfied with the results. Eye candy for all.
  18. CMx2, x3, et., al. Barbarossa! Now that's the ticket laddie. Only thing I can imagine would hold my interest as much as the Eastern Front would be the Pacific. Been dreaming of a CM2 level platform for New Guinea, Okinawa, or the Philippines. And or the void of anything approaching a CM2 level engine for Vietnam. At my age, I'll settle for Barbarossa. Likely never make it long enough to see a CM2 Battle of la Drang. California dreamin...
  19. I thought that's what the helmuts were for?
