  1. What is the deal with the Russian naval units in this campaign? They are worthless. Time and again I try to attack an Allied naval unit with a full strengths unit and it disappears in a puff of smoke. It makes it difficult to mount much of anything, the lack of naval powere eventually drags me down every time. Comments?
  2. I downloaded a gold bundle today. I thought I would be getting the basic game plus the additional campaigns such as the 1948 WWIII. All I got was the basic four campaigns. Sorry, I am very confused. The website store listing appears these are included. Are they included someplace other than the start menu? Also I never got any confirming email other than the one from Paypal when paying for it. Appreciate any advice. Have started a ticket also.
  3. OK here is what is so confusing to me. This probably seems simple to old hands on here but it looks as if I have to install the Assault on Communism and Democracy scenarios as updates to the SC game I already have installed. That game was downloaded two years ago and patches, etc have been added since. I worry about the add on scenarios not running or installing correctly accordingly. Has anyone else been able o accomplish this with no problems?
  4. I contacted someone at the mail address supplied right after on 1-28, did get a reply with a promise to get back once they found my information, nothing since. Not looking good, guess. I do have the games running on my desktop and paid for them. Seems I should be getting better than this. Actually I think playing these game on a laptop, at least the one I have is a lost cause. I downloaded a demo of Global Conflict and it always freezes up after a couple turns. Currently I am interested in adding Assault on Communism and on Democracy to the existing GC game I have on my desktop. Since I bought the version I have over two years ago I wonder if I'd be better off starting over with a full version download including the two scenarios? Seems like it wouldn't cost much more than just adding the updates. Hope to hear soon, either from someone at Battlefront or on here- getting very frustrated.
  5. I have three games I purchased by download between one and four years ago. Strategic Command Global Conflict, WWI and Pacific Theater. I still play them regularly and now have a laptop i'd like to try playing them on. I cannot locate the emails with the download links or codes. Am I out of luck here? Sorry to post such a basic question here. I did search around on your site for help information and couldn't see what I needed. Many thanks.
  6. I have played this as Axis up to mid 1943. UK long ago surrendered- I am in firm control of the Atlantic, US is a belligerent but is mostly just piling up points- not assisting the USSR at all. I have occupied Leningrad, Moscow and Stalingrad, the capitol moved to Perm- I overran that two turns ago- the USSR just keeps chugging along. I bypassed some cities to get to the capitals and now the USSR points are going to building up forces in those areas. I'd like to play this to some sort of victory conclusion but am wondering if that is even possible- ideas?
  7. Bill- belated thanks! I did as you suggested and made the USSE cooperative with the Germans. It makes all the difference. I am able to do German naval builds in Soviet Pacific ports as well as move ground/air forces via operation to the Far East. I am now running a test game and am up to mid 1943; The Axis are mopping up. I never would have figured out how to change that setting, it is appreciated!
  8. This is a favorite scenario for this game but I need some input- is it possible to win as the Axis (Germany, Italy and USSR as allies)? Usually I start out well- quickly overrun W Europe. The big problem seems to be in the Far Eat. The USSR has to carry the load in that theater and seems positioned badly to do so. It only has two ports to deploy Nval forces or to create and launch amphibious operations from. What happens is I get a declaration of war from China after overrunning Manchuria then quickly get bogged down there. I seem to be on the verge of conquering the Japanese mainland but just cannot quite get it done. Meantime the US is churning out transports with ground forces and getting a lot of them through to China. Would I be better off ignoring China, even with a war declaration? One thing that could help would be if I could transport German forces to the Far east using the 'operate' method but I cannot seem to move them over USSR territory. Input welcome.
  9. I bought it on Ebay back in 2010. The motherboard went out on my old system and a tech backed up my files to a program he included, I can access it from my desktop. I found the SCGC stuff and there is no file corresponding to the name- receipt.txt. I don't recall getting any manual with the game now that I think about it I don't think there was even a box. Obviously there had to have been a code I had from someplace to get it running but I doubt it's going to be found. I am screwed. I understand the reasons for doing this but it is so terribly frustrating. I have the game downloaded and just can't launch it and probably never will.
  10. Probably. However- I no longer have the box. I know- real dumb. I think I'm screwed here..
  11. I was running SCGC until a crash last week, have had to reinstall. I obtained my game from a disc I bought- I think at a retail outlet a couple years ago. It downloaded fine but I now have no idea how to get past the 'license' screen. I have searched and cannot locate the documentation needed to activate. Suggestions?
  12. I just redownloaded WWI and wonder why Storm over Europe is not included as before? Also I have no options to choose the game counters for my units, just two options of miniatures. Any idea how to get that option back? Is the Storm over Europe no longer part of this game?
